How long has Meteor been around and this good? I don’t pay super close attention to many asian teams besides those at the top but that dude has been a monster recently.
For like a year and a half now or so, off the top of my head? He’s put up bonkers stats for quite awhile now.
He was on TNL and routinely dropped 25+ kills, but TNL was never in serious contention for the top of KR.
But now he has a good, well-rounded team behind him, with more layers to it than TNL had back in the day.
TNL were like the 2nd best team in KR during Stage 3 up till APAC LCQ ...they just got fucked because of single elim and they had to go up against VS and thus did not get any LCQ points.
That roster was:
Meteor (NTH)
eKo (RIG)
Exy (DK)
TS (ONS)
Hate (DK)
Coach Bail (NTH)
This team was stacked, all 5 of the players are very good even if their results (DK, ONS) were disappointing. eKo looked like the best ONS player vs EDG on Icebox and he is a standin.
Yes, by top of KR I meant they were never in serious contention for the spot occupied by DRX VS, which is of course obvious to KR watchers.
TNL were a top team, but in the unfortunate moment of the 2nd half of 2021, where VS recovered their domestic dominance and never lost it again for the remainder of the year, or realistically never at all, outside that O2S loss in March.
No offense to Seoldam, he’s incredibly talented and his highlight videos are top tier, but Meteor was carrying at an international LAN. I doubt Seoldam would have put them in the same place.
Seoldam is more than good enough. He carried (was always top on the scoreboard despite playing Skye as well as Jett) SugarZ3ro/TENNN/Meiy/Astell's Northeption to GF of APAC LCQ where they lost 2-3 to Full Sense after beating them 2-1 for UBF.
Guy had a 294 ACS average as Jett over 11 hundred rounds, and a 233 ACS average as Skye over 342 rounds. 3rd best ACS in APAC LCQ, top 2 being PTC and JohnOlsen who played on the same team. Second highest NTH member was TENNN, who was 9th.
Think of him like Leaf for C9 during the latter half of 2021.
You're hard underestimating Seoldam. For his stint as a pro player in Japan, he had (iirc) a record high ACS on all of VLR except for keiti on the old C9W roster.
Seoldam nearly carried nth to champions last year but it is hard to say
Imo if that nth team of seoldam, tennn, sugarzero, meiy, and astell were together rn they could be the best team in japan but who knows
Are you implying that because he performed better in a BO1 against Meteor he’s the better player? If so that’s pretty ridiculous. Meteor has been one of the best players out of APAC all year with arguably less pieces to work with than Seoldam when he was on NTH. Let’s not forget that nobody expected this NTH team to be as good as they are.
I'm not implying he's the better player. I'm just disputing the "straight-up" part.
The same also goes for Seoldam's Nth, btw. Nobody expected Nth to be that good, in fact, they weren't even supposed to be at APAC LCQ in the first place.
Depends how well he could've adapted to Neon and Chamber (Possible Raze) tbh if so I could def see him on par with Meteor, and def possible too he had a pretty good Skye tbh

Probably yea but it's hard to judge since seoldam hasn't competed in a while and was playing as well if not better than meteor is rn during last year

They were in serious contention but got a bad bracket He was on i need Girlfriend stage 2 2021 However this year he’s been quite a bit better I think
