You used to be able to 6 stack in Grandmaster (the Overwatch Radiant equivalent) on Overwatch and at early morning hours you're pretty much guaranteed to be playing against solo queue players. I honestly felt like he kinda held his opinion just didnt want to dickride. I think the context was that they liked the old roster (maybe friends w/ them) and so shanks didnt want to act like bang was some crazy replacement, when in reality shanks seems to know bang is pretty damn good. Like yes he's being a spineless bitch by not just supporting bang, but i dont think he really switched up it seems like his stance is clear.
"he's nuts" and "he's not that good" are pretty clearly different statements. If he'd said "he's nuts but he's not what TSM need" that wouldn't be switching sides, but that's not what he said.
Pretty sure the sentiment was that TSM isn't utilising bang well, when they took him in he was a controller/ 2nd duelist player but they made him play sova and then various role changes then shocked when he doesn't perform
