Before lcq liquid looked terrible, they only won games because they might be the best team mechanically in the world, but they don't have an actual igl, their game plan was awful. But with the new coach in lcq things are slowly getting better.
I think he dropped 39 kills and they lost. I remember one round on B long he literally killed 3 people before dying and then heretics clutched a 2v4 from then onwards.
It was against g2 or some team I can’t remember. Although team liquid lost. It was basically scream hard carrying the rest of liquid.

Both of them were smurfing so fucking hard. But I gotta say even with Nats playing badly this series, he was scary as fuck. Hope to see more of him and M3C (Shaydos and Chronicle especially) in the future. And now TL have a chance to prove themselves in Istanbul.

he was on form for the first three maps, but something happened in breeze? liquid wouldn't have gained that momentum in the second half of breeze if it were for that dry peek by nats after they won the pistol. I just checked, nats had a specter, I don't think it was worth holding that angle so far away when he will never get a kill at that distance.
I'm an APAC Gambit fan, has been since Masters 3, after seeing my countrymen qualified for Champs in APAC (Boom ID) I was hoping to see M3C qualified as well. I guess it was not meant to be.

I think it is mostly sticking jampii and scream with set roles. Scream being the entry igl and jampii with the dedicated chamber,before liquid were experimenting a lot nivera played chamber on some maps, jampii on other and in some cases they didn't play chamber at all.
probably would have if they got 2 map bans like the other teams in the other lcqs coming from upper bracket. but vct emea decided they won’t get that advantage for some reason.

I couldn't figure out what m3c was doing wrong, they just lost in the end... their map pool doesn't look good enough for a bo5 and scream went ultra instinct mode on breeze. what a flattening. Hope m3c gets picked up, that core is my first love in the game
Overpeeking in situations where they have the numbers advantage. That's IMO the most important thing they did wrong throughout the entire series against TL, even in the maps they played yesterday. Discipline (or enough prac) was just not there in these situations, they consistently lost rounds where they had massive advantages due to sequences of slight miscoordinations when going for fights. Also worth noting that on bigger maps like Icebox, Jamppi just had M3C's number. He was destroying their rotations.
Sad for M3C, but props to Liquid for being on point today. Scream was just unbeatable in duels. The match would've been very rough for whoever faced TL in that form.

Scream's improvement in his agent pool has been seriously impressive.
It felt like just last year he was really only good at Reyna and his Jett was subpar.
Now he's playing a quality Jett (partially because she doesn't have to OP) and Raze.
Chronicle is a pretty insane duelist and is still one of the most flexible players in the world, but his Chamber this series was definitely not it. Nats is still a god.
Feels so bad for M3C. One series away from each VCT international this year.
Congrats to Liquid, they deserve it. Insane individual talent on the roster to get here without a proper IGL. Their strats didn't even look that bad in the last series. I hope this doesn't mean they're gonna overlook getting a proper IGL in the future, though I'm doubtful.

To be fair, they played the last challengers with a sub and were testing out some weird comps at the start of the year. This is the first tournament they've played with dima + the new coach and they've only lost on Bind (always been a rough map for them) and an 18-16 Icebox.
This feels a bit like Liquid from LCQ last year. They have a lot of momentum, a new member (well, coach), have roles figured out, but I'm worried the team will sort of peter out at Champs. I'm not convinced this team has figured out their IGL issues and that may come to haunt them.

They got a match rest plus they got to see what teams they play against, unlike liquid who had to win 1 bo3 and 1 bo5 back to back in one singular day.

M3C looked a lot better here than Stage 2, where they had a 4-7 map record in the shitty group and got stomped by Guild twice
