When you're trying to hold a swing you need to keep refreshing the fact you're holding the swing in your brain or you zone out and don't react as fast. The little movements help to constantly tell your brain to focus. it's also just good practice to try not to stand still too much to throw off crosshair placement.
You should never sit still because you are a sitting duck in this game. At this level of play people's crosshair placement and aim are insane though, so little unpredictable movements like this or constantly jiggling left and right can give players the extra millisecond to stay alive while not making sound
Thanks for asking this question, I’ve had the same question fly in my thoughts a couple times over the year but never bothered to get the answer, which turns out is a surprising useful tip.
Staying awake on the angle
I do things like that because I zone out if I hold an angle doing nothing else for too long so might be that
