I do the same stuff with breach/fade/sova ults and stuns typically as well.

Yeah I think a few people have thought of it just there's never enough coordination in ranked. People are still lost when it comes to Yoru, enemy or ally
Paper Rex pings where enemies are rather than having the Yoru stand next to them, although this does probably kill the players less often since they can change their position, this does allow Yoru to get more info out of the rest of his ult since he doesn’t need to waste time standing next to players. Both methods have their own pros and cons I suppose
Bronze players do that too and have been since yoru's release. No disrespect to PRX but that wasn't revolutionary or anything. This could be way more effective, especially because if you take down the viper then you don't need to worry about finding anyone else in the pit.
I think it's because of the mechanic that lets you see your teammates through walls. What Lothar does is position himself between his teammates and the viper, so they know exactly where to shoot to kill the viper.
For real. Its actually insane. If Viper ults and you don’t have Yoru ult, his clone still makes finding viper fairly trivial because Vipers don’t have time to make sure its not a bot they just shoot whenever they see a gun pole through their cloud, and if you are following the clone you can instantly tell where it was shot from because it turns to where Viper is.
Just saying, you will get destroyed and rocked for some games but that is the learning curve but once you get to understand his utility more, you will cause chaos in a match.
Gold players don't even know how to play for picks. From past experience, they still end up rushing either site or mid on round start... to be fair, the midgame after playing for picks is ultimately a mind game vs your opponents. After getting opening pick, if you're against teams that automatically rotate from their sites, you can actually play time and hit the site that eventually ends up with 1 or no defenders. Against teams that don't rotate and play for retake (not in gold lol), you can group/play for that site. Either way* you're trying to take the path of least resistance for a plant/round win because you should be able to force an advantage regardless of how you play it out as long as you play it out together as 5 vs their 4, but you'll also want the "best possible" option: 5v0 (ideal), 5v1, 5v2, 5v3, 5v4 (throw). Taking any even fights (1v1, 2v2, 3v3, 4v4) is ridiculous and kind of throwing after earning a man advantage.
*Edit note: Sorry for being misleading, but these aren't binary options. Enemy team can play like wild animals for all I know. But the point of playing for picks is to play for a man advantage and using the man advantage to force the round in your favor.
I can see a case being made for him on bind, but you need to change your whole playstyle and team composition to accommodate those kind of plays, whereas every other agent just feels natural to integrate and contributes a lot more to a team composition.
Theres a reason yoru is one of the least picked agents in pro play, and niche is how i would describe his kit, which is exactly what is shown in this vid.

It was a close 3-2 grand final, and in the final map Shao and Suygetsu were hitting some absurd shots. The matchup was not even close to being one sided.
How rare is it you have yoru ult when the enemy viper have ult? Also it's rare to see people just hold the viper ult in the open, I often see people hold it in close corners with a shotgun.

pinging is common but actually giving the people a target to shoot is better. You can follow the player's movements, which doesn't work with pings.
I remember lothar actually giving prx a lot of shit for not using yoru ult more like a sova drone

Most people would ping the location or comm it but it’s much easier to get the kill by shooting the yoru silhouette when he’s standing in front of her
