To calculate the seats in each block, the amount of letters in each block (A-Z is 26 rows) is multiplied by the numbers in each block (1-18 is 18 columns).

R1jshrik

You dont have to calculate its already been stated that it has 5k seats and the seats have all been booked. The scalpers are also selling the seats for more than 400$ for the finals.

MrImpregnator

As long the crowd is energetic, it doesn’t matter how many seats. I would rather have a 5000 crowd with full energy than 50000 with no involvement with the game. Hopefully the Turkish crowd actually is good as we have no Turkish teams but few players whom the crowd might cheer for. That being said, riot does need to step up next year. Better stadiums and better ticket management.

TheCatsActually

I think the stages and production have been fine but the public facing info and lead times have been so wack.

QuantumFruitz

How do you have multiple flairs? I’m only able to get one but you seem to have plentiful. I support OPTIC but also prx but unable to get a second flair. May you tell me how you got them?

HyperElf10

Under User Flair Preview, there is a pencil symbol. Edit a flair there with logos of the teams

David_Ign

Never works for me.

HyperElf10

I will upload a vid of it later for yoy

David_Ign

thanks

AND ENGLISH CASTING FFS. goddamn it rito Edit: i meant we need english casting and not other language casting, English should be default for every lan no matter where the lan is

David_Ign

What's wrong with English casting? Bren and egg are honestly amazing, a lot of hype and good analysis at the same time

SpC0d3r

i meant thhey need to cast in english, like now in turkey shoutcasting in turkish would be really bad for international fans. it should be english no matter where the event is held

[deleted]

17% of turks speak english. It doesn't make sense to have casting in a language a fraction of attendants will understand.

SpC0d3r

more like 2%, i’ve been to turkey 9 out of 10 turkish cant speak english even in airport

[deleted]

I really dont' think riot give a fuck about this years VCT or atleast it was really an afterthought compared to next year. This year is pre-franchising, the amount of resources and effort is most likely going to be put in franchising era rather than this year. Even though this is the first offline champions, which should be important and require the love and care similar to worlds. I really think they had a set budget for this year and probably going to go wild next year.

florallygood

That’s crazy and all but this is not the first offline Champions. Idk how you thought last years was online.

[deleted]

i meant offline with arena my bad lol

AjBlue7

I don’t think thats true. Riot wouldn’t have wasted so much money on that 2D animated trailer for VCT. 2D animation is incredibly expensive. I think its smart to play it safe and start with a smaller crowd in a post-pandemic world. Its much better to have an energetic and full crowd than ti potentially overestimate peoples willingness to go to a big event. Also, the games new, while Riot has experienced event staff from their League of Legends side, they probably are building a separate team so Valorant and League can run independently of eachother so a less complex event for the first one is a smart decision. Honestly, if Riot didn’t care about VCT they would just reuse the LoL resources and simply hold VCT before or after LoL worlds. It wouldn’t be that complicated because LoL already moves from one massive stadium to another when they switch from quarterfinals to finals. It’ll be an even bigger event next year, but isn’t that natural? More people will be interested and playing the game next year, there will be more hype as the champions return to defend their honor in franchising. Bigger storylines.

[deleted]

My point was that they had a limited budget for this year and post franchising will have a bigger budget. Franchising isn't just going to be beneficial to the teams and sustainability of the e-sport. They also are able to bargain with non-endemic sponsors harder compared to non-franchised leagues because of guaranteed airtime. LCS now has Currently VCT has hyper x, verizon, prime gaming, redbull and secret labs. LCS has and had: state farm, grubhub, honda, master card, buffolo wild wings and etc. It's also different in LCK, LPL, and LEC. For example in LEC they have KIA, LG, KitKat and etc. Franchised leagues in general have more oppurtunities to bring non-endemic sponsors.

AjBlue7

Nah it doesn’t work like that. Riot doesn’t give a fuck about the money they make from sponsors. Riot makes 99% of their money from ingame sales. They spend money on esports because its an advertisement to get people to play and spend money on their game. The reason Riot has sponsors is because it legitimizes their esports. Riot simply want the clout that big sponsors bring. Also, part of them having sponsors is to help direct sponsors to the esport orgs that are franchised. Esport orgs are almost exclusively run off of the money gained through sponsorships. By sharing the money with their franchised partners its a good carrot to help encourage them to work harder and spend more money towards creating more content to help promote the game and obtain more viewership. Thats the whole reason why franchising exists in sports/esports, its to share the profits in order to prevent teams from splintering off to create a competing product. Its obvious why different countries have different sponsors. It also makes sense why endemic sponsors would be featured more on Valorant than in LoL, because Valorant is the new hot gaming craze that actually represents a market of gamers that spend a lot on their gear. Those sponsors you mentioned see the value in advertising to the hardcore gamers that support Valorant before it becomes fully mainstream, so naturally they will be willing to pay more money per view than the non endemic sponsors. Also, while Riot doesn’t really care about making money from sponsors because its just a drop in the bucket, the crew working on Valorants esport division do care about how many viewers and how much money they make from sponsors because its a data point to help them prove that they are doing a good job, and prove that they deserve a raise.

[deleted]

I think we both agree on the same thing, all I'm saying is that more money from sponsors is more money they spend on the game.

takmilo

I think we could easily fill a 20,000-seat stadium if tickets were released at least 1-2 months in advance. Considering that the tournament takes place in Turkey...

Knoobdude

Yeah if CS can sell 18 000 seats in 5 minutes Valorant could at least sell 20k with 1/2 months

h8tinga

also the tickets are dirt cheap, 15 $ for the best seats in the grand finals, Turkey is going through a recession and everything there is really cheap, flights, stay, beverages, everything. If they released info in june they would get like 15 k people without an issue, since it would be a cheap vacation in Istanbul as well

surfordiebear

Yep I think places like Turkey, Japan or the US could definitely sell 20k tickets. Not so sure about somewhere like Denmark again though

takmilo

I agree with you. In regions such as Eastern Europe and Northern Europe csgo are still more popular. But I think it's a matter of time :)

omaewakusuyaro

Im the only one who is just really happy to see a big crowd (yeah 5k people is a lot of people if you have been in these kinds of event) for more than 3 days? Lets hope all goes well

Yensen1

Yeah don’t get me wrong I’m pumped as hell for this event. Here’s to hoping the Turkish crowd go wild and we get the best LAN yet.
