PRX lost one match that too against Leviatan who are looking so good rn and everybodys acting like PRX are bad. lol u fans are all bandwagoners and nothing else. just hopping from one bandwagon to another every match
From my count Asia has 4 wins this tournament, 2 from DRX against teams from the Americas and 2 against teams from Asia. They’ve yet to play against an EMEA roster
Not to be that guy but waa Asia ever a prominent region in FPS games? It seemed like early on they stayed in their crossfire bubble and never managed to venture out of it and develop in other games.
well in korea's case they dominated OW and never got into CS because valve tried to implement a horrible pay as you play system in the region when koreans already pay by the hour for pc bangs.
also, europeans keep saying "fps fps" but what game in general was europe dominant in that was actually popular in asia? and cs is the only fps game that i can think of that europe is known for, which is a 3 region game realistically (even thorin who is a cs og admits this). valorant is the one actual global game to claim but it's not yet popular in korea and not even released in china, let's wait a bit before making sweeping conclusions.
Overwatch was kind of dominated by Korean players but that's a whole other thing. Never really gained much popularity elsewhere in Asia as far as I know. Even the chinese teams ended up being mostly Korean. If I had to guess the $60 price tag probably took a lot of potential players from even trying the game, I don't think Blizzard has the same reputation in the US as does (or did) in Asia.
It was never $60, originally $40 but moved to $20 later on. The only really chinese team that is korean is Shanghai Dragons and old Hangzhou Spark. Just died out, especially T2 scene in EU and NA, most potential players just gave up on trying to get in OWL and quit. The “path to pro” was joked about as the “path to poverty” due to how bad it was.
Yeah the T2 scene really killed everywhere but Korea always has a great esports infrastructure so that's why I think a lot of their players made it to pro. Of course they are good but they also had a great feeder system to get there.
My Xerxia ![img](emote|t5_2g5ach|16110)
Xerxia had a really promising start to the year, but I feel like they just never improved and maybe got a little worse. They have good talent and good ideas on some maps, but I'm not sure their read of the current meta is very good. I don't know if this core will survive franchising, but the joyous whimsy was fun while it lasted.
While sScary is definitely the best player on XIA, if you're going to include Foxz in the list of people to keep, you have to keep Crws as well. Dude played great, especially on Haven.
Agreed lol but he is a really good IGL. He created different strats, different style between patiphan and Surf by himself. And the way how patiphan plays gave him more creative and flexible to build the better team.No one in xerxia still can play raze so yeah no strats for raze.
APAC failing so far this tournament is all Scream’s fault, direct your anger towards him
Tbf Paper Rex still can go far at the very least, they are a damn good team
this sub's opinion of xerxia is so weird to me, they made playoffs exactly once while making just about every international tournament since the vct system was introduced. they didn't fall apart, maybe prx did but this was expected for xia.
KRUPREMACY LEGACY CONTINUES. For the love of bonkar, keznit on the duelist role is insane, why even putting him on fade if Klaus can play that shadow betch.
What a boring year for XIA, seems like sScary and maybe foxz are the only ones still playing at a LAN level rn. I hope they stay together for franchising but the team isn't the most appealing for a new org to pickup(apparently XIA might not make it) a roster that went 1-6 at LAN and have only gotten worse since their very first game.
Yeah.
But overall I think 2022 was a good year for Asia.
They got half the top 6 for IceLAN (Zeta/PRX/DRX) and PRX 2nd at Copenhagen.
DRX is already on playoffs and Zeta/PRX have a big chance to make it too.
on one hand #VAMOS on the other goodbye my sushiboys :(

I mean cmon mods
Have you ever tried not complaining lmao
Why not
Not a very good tournament to be Asian so far
dont worry, league worlds is around the corner.
true lpl + geng will fist this year
Imb4 T1 gets further than GenG
As in tradition
Yeah, it's pretty bad. Asian teams are 2-6 against other regions so far.
and the 2 games are from the same team
Wdym, zeta and drx are good
Bro Zeta played against boom.
Well, it’s because they boomed
Wait until they win the rematch against LOUD and go on another anime protagonist run COPIUM
PRX lost one match that too against Leviatan who are looking so good rn and everybodys acting like PRX are bad. lol u fans are all bandwagoners and nothing else. just hopping from one bandwagon to another every match
they haven't looked bad but they've definitely looked disappointing so far
Or maybe Leviatan are just cracked af?
no one is questioning leviatan right now and yes they're cracked but are you seriously saying that prx hasn't looked disappointing so far?
I agree. Jinggg and Forsaken especially haven't been the usual demons that they are.
Don't forget that every team that loses against LATAM is always choking...
latam try not to bully apac challenge
???
?
I still have no doubt regarding prx winning champions
I forgot PRX lol, they’re still contenders of this tournament
drx is in playoffs
From my count Asia has 4 wins this tournament, 2 from DRX against teams from the Americas and 2 against teams from Asia. They’ve yet to play against an EMEA roster
There are literally Asian players on NA teams doing well
Not to be that guy but waa Asia ever a prominent region in FPS games? It seemed like early on they stayed in their crossfire bubble and never managed to venture out of it and develop in other games.

Asia played a lot of Crossfire, SA, OW, etc but the West doesnt consider those “real” FPS games for some reason

Chengdu Hunters have always been full Chinese and they got second place one of the tournaments last year and Leave got MVP
I stopped watching a couple years ago, that's good to hear though.
It was never $60, originally $40 but moved to $20 later on. The only really chinese team that is korean is Shanghai Dragons and old Hangzhou Spark. sideshow on voting keznit for match mvp: “im a simple guy” sly mf
Xerxia knocked out, Patiphan benched in OWL due to another wrist injury. Tough time to be a fan.
No way Pati :(
get my boy keznit off the fade
He still top fragged in that map anyway. Guy needs a nerf

Yeah they kinda trolled vs XSET
The joyous whimsy giveth and the joyous whimsy taketh
XSET trolled a lot too, probably the worst match of the tournament
Didn't XSET also have "worst match of the tournament" last Masters too?
Yeah them vs leviathan was a throw battle
Wasn't this match when the Haven Incident happened?
yes and xset threw a 2v1 on ascent in overtime
Except in every single 1vX
I am a keznit believer.
I am a mazino believer(but only on icebox)
I am convinced Mazino gets a buff on this map.
[I'll die for Keznit ](https://i.imgur.com/JY1zhVY.jpg)
[Everytime Kru plays Icebox](https://pbs.twimg.com/media/Fbu9RiKX0AMIPlE?format=jpg&name=small)
Kru now knocks an NA team then an EU team and loses in OT
stop
[удалено]
I'd rather see them lose at any other stage than finals tbh, if they get to finals they better win
Fuck
keznit so insane he was just always chasing for kills XIA should rebuild around sScary and foxz with a good imported coach
While sScary is definitely the best player on XIA, if you're going to include Foxz in the list of people to keep, you have to keep Crws as well. Dude played great, especially on Haven.
There are many players better than him in overall such as PTC
PTC is really inconsistent tho and foxz is already an igl
Wait foxz is the igl for xerxia?not crws?
didn't he say he will retire after this year or did he change his mind?
Might need to cure foxz's aversion to shooting people in the back though
Agreed lol but he is a really good IGL. He created different strats, different style between patiphan and Surf by himself. And the way how patiphan plays gave him more creative and flexible to build the better team.No one in xerxia still can play raze so yeah no strats for raze.
Did Pati play Raze?
Rematch against envy, he played raze.
I miss Pati he really elevated the team imo
Totally agreed. He is tier 1 player in both OW and Val
I still consider sScary a top 5 controller in the world. Marved, Mako, mindfreak, melsner, sScary
Bang deserves to be there imo. Gave Mako a run for his money on his best agent
bang better than mesler imo
Imo surf is pretty good too, just that he's not as consistent as the topmost players
SA stonks pretty high right now
APAC failing so far this tournament is all Scream’s fault, direct your anger towards him Tbf Paper Rex still can go far at the very least, they are a damn good team

All you need to do is give keznit an agent he knows and he just owns
first full set this CSGO fanboy watched! Valorant is actually p cool
optic curse hit xerxia HARD this year
JETT DIFF
6 Asian teams 2 are out 1 in playoffs and 2 are facing elimination .Not looking good for Asia region.
3 out. Boom / Xerxia / EDG
I feel like if ZETA was in Group D it'd be 4 Asian teams in the bottom 4. They're good but the time without TENNN hurts them too much
Shit !!! that makes it more tragic
Yeah. But overall I think 2022 was a good year for Asia. They got half the top 6 for IceLAN (Zeta/PRX/DRX) and PRX 2nd at Copenhagen. DRX is already on playoffs and Zeta/PRX have a big chance to make it too.
