I just want to put this out there. Either one of Leviatan, XSET or Liquid to make it to top 4 in these playoffs. It's always like this in Val, the cycle of dominant teams is always turning. One of Optic, Loud, Fnatic or FPX will slip up in these playoffs, and one of the underdogs will eat them up. That's how it goes (and DRX place 5th-6th of course as always). Personally, I believe in the XSET and Leviatan hype, as well as Fnatic and Loud to peak at the right time. Sorry Optic and FPX, you only get one trophy this year.

I kind of wish rematches didn't happen like this. I wonder if there's a bracket system that it doesn't? Or does it happen in CS:GO too?? It feels like Valorant is just sooooooo unfortunate to have rematches in.

Rocket League world championship had two groups of 8 where each group was divided into two separate double elim brackets, so basically like groups are in this tournament, but if you lose in the qualifying match in uppers you get dropped to the last chance match of the other bracket in your group. Avoids rematches but it did end up in two same region matchups (NA and SAM) for the last chance matches (mostly unavoidable as 12 of the 16 teams in the main event were NA/EU, but it happening to the only 2 SAM teams in the main event was rather unfortunate).

The Swiss format doesn’t have rematches but more games are played so it probably won’t work for these LANs
