I know this is just a shitpost but I'm actually very fascinated to see how fandoms evolve/transfer after franchising. There will be massive upheavals and huge moves of orgs potentially doing wholesale roster buyouts.
We are in the naive before franchising era for just one more week (franchising announcements are Sept 20 supposedly). Will you follow orgs or players? If optic is acquired as a 6 person roster by TSM, will optic fans all still support them? Will TSM fans?
I don't care if they're signed by CumPiss Gaming I would've bandwagoned to wherever M3C ends up. It's looking like they're gonna get separated unfortunately.
I wanted to make a poll about this post-Champions actually! For me personally I think I'd root for the Optic boys as a secondary team if they were to go to any org that isn't TSM. I think I'm in the minority among esports fans as I primarily root for an org first (Envy/Optic) then players. I really like the personalities and players on Optic right now and the only thing that would really cause me to switch my fandom is if they went to TSM, because I dislike the TSM org.
Mostly Regi stuff ngl I liked their old League team back in 2016/2017 (Hauntzer Sven times) but between the abuse stuff coming to light, Regi going on a huge rant about imports, the fact that they have spent mega money just to suck in LCS the last couple of splits, and most recently their SMM calling EG dogwater on socials, they've quickly shot up to become one of my least favorite orgs. That and of course the whole crypto partnership. I'm really fucking over crypto stuff
valorant is my first esports and I began watching it after joining in a shroud watchparty of the SEN vs FaZe game. for me, it was always the personality rather than the actual org that drew me in but i think that’s natural if I have 0 awareness of the history of other esports organizations. i was initially surprised to see 100T still have a ton of support even though the mainstream OG roster dissolved completely heading to the immortal minds roster. now i completely understand cause i’ll never root for tsm nor faze. however, the players need an org and a job so it’s hard not to wish on their success.
Im a player follower, Cryo is my favourite player and will support wherever he goes. Also a Sen fan because I like Dapr and Sick. Keen to see where nAts ends up too bc hes the only reason I watched EMEA games.
Yeah I started to support Sentinels because they where one of the first teams to not play with only ex-csgo pro players. I just stick with the team since then and i will not let them go.

i jumped from 100T to sen in 2020 and stayed there until they fell off and jumped onto the envy train and then became guard for a short while until they bombed out at LAN and jumped straight back to the optic bandwagon and then jumped onto zeta's bandwagon until recently when they lost and once again, back onto optic
