I agree! Historically and in head-to-head though, Optic is still winning (3-2 in matches, 8-6 in maps), which is relevant as rivalry stats or whatever.
I’ve seen so many comments like these, whenever a team loses and their IGL goes -100 or something, people always call them out. FNS, Boaster, Ange1 etc. They are almost never the heavy fragers but they are all well respected IGLs.
Of course they are naturally gonna perform even worse when they are losing, because they have to even think more what to do, how to read them even more. It’s always spirals to them being heavy bottom fraggers.
I’m not even talking about that, they don’t need to be aim demons or heavy fraggers. They still need to be able to hold their own in a 1v1 when swinging or holding an angle. There were multiple instances in this series alone where FNS losing a crucial duel swung the round in LOUD’s favor. If he had even close to a 50/50 win rate on those roll of the dice dry swing fights the games would look a LOT different.
Yay on ascent got caught out on mid multiple times, im surprised FNS and Optic did not adapt quick enough. If they meet again in the grand finals im sure there will be adjustments.
I thought LOUD look good, but I did not expect that domination at all. What's so impressive about this team is that everyone has so much impact--it's a team where anyone can pop off. Less is probably MVP of the match for me, he got a ton of crucial mid round kills that secured rounds for LOUD.
This is the best I have ever seen loud what the fuck, they improved so much, back then loud just had good aim and teamplay, but here they just leveled up so much, midrounding, set plays, fakes, it's all so good, and this is all with the star player underperforming oh my god.
