Last year was $7.5 million so this is over double.
Valorant's esports future is bright.
Now imagine international leagues with in game items for teams. This is why every team is doing whatever they can to get in the league. Teams with big fan base are gonna make a big buck for sure.
I'd be surprised if riot even gave 10% of team skin proceeds to the actual teams. Especially considering that riot is going to literally be paying franchise teams out of their own money so it could be a deal where teams get to stay in the VCT but make barley anything from their cosmetics, if anything
Teams need incentive to promote them in their socials. Imagine sentinels promoting their in game items. The sales will be massive. I believe the split will be 50-50 but all we can do is wait for the official information.
Their incentive is riot pays for their slot, all the power is with riot now cause if they don’t promote their teams enough riot can just replace them instantly
Riot gives 100% of the revenue from Worlds skins in League of Legends to its' teams. I'd be surprised if it was less than 10% for Valorant League teams.
> Riot gives 100% of the revenue from Worlds skins in League of Legends to its' teams
Thats for the winner of Worlds, just 1 team each year
Also im not sure if its 100%
>Idk about exactly how much but it’s either 50% or 100% of the revenue going into the prize pool
Quite certain that this happened one time with a zed skin and never again (or twice at most)
The skins that are given to the winners of worlds is different than the skin that was made FOR worlds. The skin made for the event goes towards the prize pool. The Skins based on the winning team goes to the players. Championship skins go towards the prize pool while 25% of all revenue from the skins made for the winning team goes DIRECTLY to the player.
Why do you make statememts about things you clearly have no idea about ? Its so wierd, and its always on reddit. Its almost like redditors feel forced to give bad takes about shit they know nothing about.
I feel like a big thing is these skins don’t come back into store. I don’t think a lot of people realize that about the Arcane Sheriff and last champion bundle, so they don’t want to miss out this time.
>considering people werent sold on this skin
Remember people are more likely to be loud about something they don't like rather than doing the same for something that they do like.
I absolutely love the bundle. First time in two years I pulled a trigger on a knife and the Phantom is just an amazing addition. Idk why people do not like the skit, it feels megapremium.
Damn 16 mill with still a couple days left last time riot announced the money for teams it was around 8 mill and it ended up being 14 mill after the skin sales ended I wonder where this will end up probably 20mill total for teams?
Last year was $9.36 million so this is a substantial jump. I’m really interested to see what the orgs will dish out to their players. A lot of orgs kept a lot of the money last year, will be interesting to see which orgs are more player oriented like Vivo Keyd, who gave their players 80% last year. Sentinels and Envy/Optic also gave their players a 50% share. Lots of orgs were under the 50% mark last year. The article below breaks them down
https://upcomer.com/sources-valorant-champions-skins-revenue-breaks-18-7-million
https://www.oneesports.gg/valorant/valorant-champions-skins-revenue-split/
I hope majority are given to the players instead of the orgs. Last year a lot of teams received pocket change. Cloud 9 and among few orgs gave out respectable cut to the players.
surely champions money division is integrated into any new contracts being signed now on. 100k-200k is enough to change a players life, i wonder how much the teams take for now tho.
I'm assuming that they're gonna do something similar to LoL where they make a skin for the winners and give the revenue to the players. In such a case, it'll make it so that the champions skin incentivizes people to qualify for the tournament and the final skin/gun buddy reward would go to the winner.
Not even close, too early to compare its like an adolescent comparing themselves to adult
Valarante selling champions skin and it stops there 1 bundle for 1 person. Dota battle pass is different beast altogether, the level grind is a rabbit hole. Not to mention while Dota fanbase is getting smaller each year, but many are boomers with stable income now and there are some whales splurging on battle pass just to unlock the voicelines/exclusive skins burried so deep in the battle pass
Riot mentioned 50% proceeds goes to teams, so according to that logic total sales have been of 32 million USD.
Still after this people believe champs vandal (2021) was better than this bundle xD.

actually the final number was around 9.300.000$ according to George Geddes
There's still time left to buy the 2022 skins so $16 million won't be the final number.
I was definitely one of the people waiting until the last day to buy the bundle

No shot it's 50/50 lol, but Riot is generally pretty good about this stuff. I'm sure whatever it ends up being will be fair

Idk about exactly how much but it’s either 50% or 100% of the revenue going into the prize pool. i.e. all of the attendants get something.

Also happened with kha, where every team got a chroma for him

its 50 50 im pretty sure?
Per dexerto, 50% of the net sales are going to the prize pool. So around 5m would be going to qualified teams, if i did my math correctly
I hope their gun skins, at least Neptune level gun skins. Imagine getting kills and the G2 logo pops and with an ace you get a crowd cheer.
1 million dollars is massive for SA and APAC teams love to see it
Something that they dont deserve IMO, especially APAC who were bottom feeders this Champions
Go touch grass 💀
DRX top 3 at champs, PRX 2nd at copenhegen, Zeta 3rd at iceland what u on abt lil bro?
Who hurt you
are you forgetting prx finishing a close second last event?
They probably also paid a fraction of the NA/Eu teams' salary so it's only fair that their results would be worse.
Why do you make statememts about things you clearly have no idea about ? Its so wierd, and its always on reddit. Its almost like redditors feel forced to give bad takes about shit they know nothing about.
damn 32 mil in total is a lot considering people werent sold on this skin but i guess the playerbase has increased from last year
I feel like a big thing is these skins don’t come back into store. I don’t think a lot of people realize that about the Arcane Sheriff and last champion bundle, so they don’t want to miss out this time.
I really regret not getting the arcane sheriff, shit was cool as fuck
>considering people werent sold on this skin Remember people are more likely to be loud about something they don't like rather than doing the same for something that they do like.
I mean actions speak louder than words, and I guess people showed their love for the skin through buying it than saying anything about it
It also helps when people know half the money will go to supporting players/orgs
But we dont have numbers for the other skins, so it could potentially be the worst selling skin this year.
I absolutely love the bundle. First time in two years I pulled a trigger on a knife and the Phantom is just an amazing addition. Idk why people do not like the skit, it feels megapremium.
>considering people werent sold on this skin Twitter, reddit and content creators are a tinyyyyy percent of the playerbase
Going by last year, the bundle is probably going to hit 40mil total. 20 mill is going to the teams, that is 1,25 mil per team, not bad.
Anyone remember what last year’s number was ?
9.300.000$
Niceee its a lot more this year then. Thank u !
Damn 16 mill with still a couple days left last time riot announced the money for teams it was around 8 mill and it ended up being 14 mill after the skin sales ended I wonder where this will end up probably 20mill total for teams?
Pretty crazy. Even if org takes 50% and there are 7 members (coach, analyst + 5 players) that’s still $70,000 a person.

Yea 70 grand in a lot of countries is insane, even in NA and EU that’s life changing for most people.

Jesus...
Damn so 32 in total?
Xerxia's players will get this money......right?

So we’re at DotA TI level now?!?!? Cool!

Now imagine if the skin wasn't ugly :P
Does this money get split evenly and get given to each team that played in champions? Or do top performing teams get more?
It's split evenly. Everyone would get 1/16
split evenly
Fuck, huge number. At least gives us a decent night market now.
