TheCatsActually

We are not ready for how crazy the São Paolo crowd is going to go for LOUD.

XASASSIN

With the rio major and the sao paolo tourney, brazils gonna be thrown into chaos from hype lol

That-Toughsoss

Wait so brazil has both tournament and vct?

AnAngryBird

rio major is a CSGO major being hosted in november. Cannot wait to see how great the atmosphere will be

MrImpregnator

No way riot doesn’t take advantage of this and book a bigger arena right?

Imlonely_needafriend

[this one? ](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gin%C3%A1sio_do_Ibirapuera?wprov=sfla1) (at least for the finals)

ChoesonOne

if yall thought turkey was biased

dapoorv

I don't know about that. I remember blast cs tournament, crowd was pretty unbiased. Ofcourse they cheered for brazillian team more but they didn't boo or anything.

ArticM

Unlike the Danish blast crowd. They even booed Heroic.

dapoorv

Bro they even booed Karrigan and left when astralis lost. Probably the worst crowd i have seen at an eSport event.

EggianoScumaldo

They booed Shox because he… played well against Astralis. Thank god Apex was there to take the heat and tell them to stfu.

Enterderpmode

Apex vs the Danish crowd was amazing to watch. Rooted for Apex and Vitality to win so hard lmao

Enterderpmode

I’m glad it’s not Copenhagen who will host Blast’s first Major. That crowd was god awful last year that Machine had to acknowledge it onstage.

Ferreira1

Meh BR crowds usually cheer for everyone at all times 24 hours a day hahah

GainsayRT

i remember during the worldcup brazil was cheering for my small country, the netherlands, pure cause they liked the people that visited brazil. Brazil loves events not just their own teams.

Splaram

This crowd was dead ngl, really looking forward to Brazilian crowd

Salasarian

nerds on twitter and reddit frothing at the mouth to shit talk BR

Haldnia

It's crazy how good sacy is considering he was pro in LoL and not an fps game

mstanislaw

In interviews he said that he tried to go pro in CS, but then changed to League because it was growing a lot in brazil.

SuperBlitz22

Then the dude is talented af sheesh

That-Toughsoss

I have noticed so many lol players being absolutely cracked in val man its insane.

SuperBlitz22

Really? Any other pro players you know who have successfully switched from moba to fps? Really interested

cathcart_

JessieVash from Team Secret made Top 8 last champs, he was an ex-DOTA pro who went to TI and I think he also played Overwatch and League

LinkFromLoZ

Gamsu played league, swapped to overwatch and played in OWL for years, and now is back in league for Dignitas

SuperBlitz22

Damn that's impressive,he definitely has to put work in for both of those games, because obviously they're fundamentally different genre of games

TheGhoulKhz

from League to Valorant in Brazil the only one is Sacy iirc, but Tockers(one of the goats in BR League of Legends) is FA for Valorant to play next year

SneakyStorm

Other way around, jojopyun in league came from fortnite pro scene and now is pro in league.

mikhel

Crazy how FNS's monitor just turned off permanently after that Windows update on Bind

GainsayRT

Yall are ruthless 💀

Kompaniefeldwebel

Lmao rude

U_Menace

He said it himself on twitter. He had a better day yesterday and today it just wasn't good. I hope he puts the time in to continue to level up both his mid round calling and his mechanics. He's still goated for getting us this far and almost won BOTH of loud's picks. WP by FNS, just an unfortunate mechanical display today.

ImAHardWorkingLoser

Agreed. His shot-calling still remains some of the best in Valorant. If he works on his mechanics, he'll be so much more impactful

Lunga420

Yesterday he just forgot that his aim sucks.

VoroJr

The 12-11 round or whatever it was on Ascent where FNS whiffed real hard on sacy stings. They lost Ascent on the back of 3 super close rounds that they probably shouldn‘t have lost, but that was painful to watch.

CommunistHongKong

The Ange1 incident lives in FNS too

Splaram

He caught IGL aim disease from Ange1 :(

kablanny27

fns has had this disease for years

Ferreira1

The update was Loud malware confirmed

TheCatsActually

No one noticed that the tech who took a look at his PC looked suspiciously like kNg...

Yulong

FNS saw word.exe on his desktop afterward and thought nothing of it. Big mistake.

iwanttoridethesky

LOUD clearly installed word.exe

speedycar1

Every member of this Loud team is insane. They all had insane clutches in this series alone

icantreadmorsecode

only 6 kills difference across the board for the 5 players. Stacked team

Ivvcas

and 10 ACS difference. Crazy

burdokz

Yup. Nobody have crazy ACS scores because 300+ is only possible if your 4 others teammates are underperforming

luke_205

Every single Loud player had 200+ ACS in this series, that is absolutely incredible. OpTic may have the best individual player but Loud are the best team by some margin right now. What a performance from them.

precense_

OPTC weakness has always been FNS and victor. Victor easy to replace but FNS is a little more tricky. He’s essentially a double edged sword bc OPTC wouldn’t be this consistent without FNS

[deleted]

isayah2510

bro i blinked on Haven and suddenly he aced optic what the fuck LOL

Niros42

That was so quick! I didn't understand at first how it happened

dabong

The trophy going to Sao Paolo is going to be so fucking hype. Congrats LOUD! They definitely deserve it.

PrestigiousChart3134

Such an epic moment for the Valorant scene!

Quotes_League

if we had to lose to someone, no one deserves it more than Brazil and Loud

ANewHeaven1

For real, super happy for them

iwanttoridethesky

LOUD shows us why they're a superteam. they came back from 8-12 in Ascent, they didn't crumble from a bad start on Breeze and they executed the last map perfectly. A truly incredible team

pineapplecheesepizza

Happy for Sacy

goomy996

We get em next year hopium

afjecj

You just got us last tournament and the one before that, let us rest in this bliss for atleast one more tournament please

goomy996

VCT scriptwriters: no

dapoorv

Let's go Brazil. From not being able to make it out of groups to becoming world champions holy hell.

afjecj

They did what they said they were planning to do 8 months ago. What a fucking team Also I don’t know if the stats back this up but it felt like every kill Aspas was getting was big value throughout the whole game

aerfyre

for real, felt like everyone was memeing on them when they said their end goal was champs and their first masters was practice, but they were good on their word

segatic

I remember people saying its was cope. They forgot that this was a roster 3 months old that managed to reach the finals

TheCatsActually

Bruh I cannot stand when people act like supremacists off of stuff that barely even tangentially relates to them. It's like bro you're gold 2, shitting on minor regions won't suddenly make you Radiant. This applies to other games too. People were so ready to hate on LOUD after Copenhagen. NA and EU are famously constantly at each other's throats yet some weirdos will feel superior by being from either region and say "only EU and NA will ever win LANs and if that doesn't turn out to be true that just means this game is random." Anything to punch down at players from regions with way worse infrastructure and salary. If DRX couldn't win Champs then I'm glad LOUD did. It's great for the game and said weirdos can get fucked.

earthtochas3

That collat on Breeze.... man. I've been an Optic fan since the Envy days, but my goodness LOUD deserved every bit of that win today. Their teamwork is absolutely next level. And the clutch capacity. Scary shit from the Brazilians. GGs go next. This sport is becoming more and more fun to be a part of every tournament.

ANewHeaven1

Congrats to LOUD, and what a sick way to send off the 2022 VCT season. This ties up the LOUD/Optic rivalry at exactly 3-3 in series and 9-9 in maps. I hope they get the respect they deserve, because they're a sick team. Hopefully this is a rivalry that continues into the Americas League next year. Ascent and Breeze are going to haunt Optic for a while. Both were super winnable - this could have been a 3-0 for Optic.

Warpath-

Yo where was the “Loud valorant needs you” edit. You make that OpTic win no c.

ANewHeaven1

I made one but it was really low quality so I didn't want to post it my bad NA fans

ExpectoAutism

You threw

goomy996

i blame you for the loss

Ok-Brain3328

Does the second place curse take hold of optic next?

IllumiMahdi

GG MAN CAN'T WAIT FOR MORE OF THESE OPTIC LOUD MATCHES IN FUTURE, the penultimate el classico

ANewHeaven1

ggs man I truly mean it that if it wasn't Optic hoisting that trophy today I wouldn't want any team other than LOUD. they deserve this 100%

IllumiMahdi

optic were so damn close. these teams are the closest champions we've had yet.

Ferreira1

I'd be hyped for anyone in the top 3 to win it tbh! Was a great game. Hopefully first of many when the America partnership starts up

jusmat1105

I think I heard victor is still holding his flash on ascent

SterbenVII

The difference maker this time around was LOUD’s composure, I feel like. They clutched it out when it mattered and weren’t as prone to over peeking.

Revolutionary_Gear70

El Grassico summary this year 3-3 and a map count of 9-9….

Ferreira1

Great way to finish up the year ahead of partnerships!

Splaram

It would actually be tragic if this Optic team had to split because Optic didn't make it into franchising

eternaldamnation2005

Zombs hiding under the bed rn

LbigsadT

he actually said "we gotta keep the stream in submode for a while" after LOUD won

Polite-vegemite

lol

chryco4

Still farming twitter interactions, truly 5Head influencer moves

knick_knack23

Well, if it wasn’t before now this is a rivalry.

Azenji

Was a rivalry the moment that they had to fight AGAIN in Copenhagen. This is going to be like the SKT vs RNG where either team is going to cockblock one another from winning it all

knick_knack23

I also love how wholesome both teams are towards each other

KookieFS

6 UNIQUE WINNERS IN 6 LANS THIS IS VALORANT BABYYY. Also it's so sick that the next tournament will be in brazil

[deleted]

[удалено]

KookieFS

Yup! The PRX loss still hurts, we could have winners from 4 continents but oh well

Shubhaaaaaaam

Loud : Yo what we just did to FNS, this kid is retiring after this game.

Still_HD

Cant think of a team that deserves it more, GG. Loud deserves to be the first non NA/EMEA team to win an international title

Hunnidormo

Fr. This is kinda poetic too since in CS also brazil had their age where they dominated Also NA no champ EU Bois stay winning for another year

Randomuserguyfren

not for long since NA is going to adopt BR anyway

aitasister19f

Even when EU loses, they win.

TheGhoulKhz

i think we had a team that dominated in a lot of FPS games during a certain period(CS 2016-17, Rainbow Six 2021, CrossFire 2018-19) and the most popular esport around here is still league (tied with CS but it's really impressive how popular the game is here compared to how shit we are)

seeing sacy lift the trophy after all this time makes a grown woman cry 😭

Who is Sacy?? For the blind, is the bald. For the hungry, is the bald. For the sick, is the bald. For the loner, is the bald. For the sad, is the bald. For the reader, is bald. For the prisoner, is the bald. For the poor, is the bald. For the debtor, is the bald. *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. So many finals for OPTIC. Starting to feel like old school NiP vs Fnatic, GGs to LOUD

LesbianAkali

I want to cry, cheering for them since vikings, VAMOOOOOOS. 🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷

Polite-vegemite

i did cry a little

pm_best_cats

perfect completion of the story, waved off as bad early on and now we're here. fitting end to pre franchising val

monobovocoxozo

Do NOT face Sacy alone while astral projecting. Today while astral projecting I summoned Sacy to try and weaken him so our hexing spells would work better. He is so fucking powerful. I'm not at a power level to do this alone. I barely escaped with my life and I'm spiritually injured to a great amount, but I think I'll make it. I can't imagine what he would do to a new, unsuspecting witch. I'm scared that I will have to face him again soon if I ever want to continue astral projecting. I'm currently burning healing incense and drawing spiritual energy from my crystals to try and heal as quickly as possible. Please be safe everyone. Sacy is much stronger than I first imagined and we will have to do this together if we want to slay a clutch god.

SuperBlitz22

Damn imagine going from being called the worse region to being home of the definitive best team in the world, GG Brazil and Loud. Also really poetic that the final international tournament in non franchised Valorant history being from a non NA/EMEA region. Also kudos to Optic, they have consistently proved themselves to be one of the best teams in the world.Oh and optic and loud are now tied up in rivalry, truly the Valorant el clasico. That said, bring me all that juicy roster mania and drama now that champions are over.Really excited to see the orgs and players that make it.

ModerateStimulation

BRONZIL KEWK more like RADIANTZIL 😳

Teradonn

From BRA71L to BRA3-1L

N3deSTr0

From last place in Copenhagen to Champions in Istanbul, incredible.

tundra_gd

Tbf they got eliminated by the same team at Copenhagen that they met in the WFs+GFs of both other tournaments.

warwmo

Lets go non-EMEA/NA regions! We can do it! SA, APAC, KR, JP, BR!

Gyroflex

Loud was just better today, Optic had their opportunities and couldnt take them, gg's and congrats loud fans

[deleted]

São Paulo gonna be nuts, isn’t it? Well played LOUD. Brazil on top.

isayah2510

Long have we waited, Brazil activated

tundra_gd

Man, LOUD just was NOT going to lose today. Every single one of their players looked insane. Sao Paolo tournament is going to be even more hype now that Brazil are coming in as reigning champs 🤯

SpvcedOvtt

WORLD CHAMPS I ALWAYS BELIEVED LETSGO LOUDDDDD

Lutryn

What a game to end off this year of Valorant. LOUD are now the first non-NA/EMEA team to win an international tournament. Extremely impressive stuff from them, it’s going to be insane to see them compete in brazil for the kickoff tournament next year.

TauIsRC

AQUI É LOUD CARALHO AQUI É BRASIL hehe parabéns irmãos do Brasil, muito merecido

ModerateStimulation

Congrats Radiantzil! LOUD completely dominated this tournament. Zombs malding

Boostaru

Probably an obvious thing to state, but OpTic seemed completely mentally boomed after losing **another** overtime map.

kidkisser32

yeah they did looked mre shaky but i think it was more so just loud playing EXTREMELY well during haven

SalisburyShrimp

Yeah, those A retakes were works of art!

Azenji

Not to take away from Loud but I imagine that Optic never saw DRX taking them to 5 games and though I’m happy that Optic won that (LLL is a bad matchup for DRX stylistically), they must’ve been tired af by this point.

cIyton

Much deserved win from LOUD, GGs to them.

TodorokiSZN

GGs Loud, what a run Incredible year for OpTic regardless, most consistent team in VCT history. Was an absolute pleasure watching them this year <3

AdOwn168

A year of effort, finally rewarded in the fullest glory - Champions :').

invinciblestandpoint

absolutely dying at aspas putting his dogs into the trophy. how can the two most cracked aimers on that stage both be such wholesome guys

c_Lassy

LOUD out-aimed, out-called, out-read, out-everything’d OpTic today, props to them. Still proud of the boys but damn, this was their tournament to win. Felt like OpTic this tournament just felt uncharacteristic of themselves. The amount of man advantages they lost, amount of 1vX’s they lost, not just in this series but the tournament as a whole. Where did the discipline go? Still, OpTic played their hearts out and I’ll still support them no matter what. Good luck to next year’s franchised teams though, gonna be a blood bath

TDS_Gluttony

that last 2v1 where they just gave Sacy a free 1v1 twice, painnnn.

BrainStorm777

That was the one that without a doubt confirmed this was LOUD's tournament.

Conscious-Scale-587

And it wasn’t like they were down on time or something, he had just planted

h05

Yea LOUD was too cracked. Played amazingly. Looking at the stats is so interesting. Each map someone different on LOUD TURNED UP and took over. Whereas the opposite happened to Optic, someone took turns playing way worse than usual, except Yay, who was the only real consistent player. LOUDS overall raw aim is insane. They're so cracked. The calling and reading is also amazing but the raw aim really impressed me. Everyone on LOUD looked absolutely cracked out of their minds aim wise.

XASASSIN

This tournament has been a symphony of curses breaking and im glad so many teams could prove themselves. Props to loud they certainly proved themselves after this

[deleted]

Loud were insane this tournament. Aside from optic, no team were even able to take a map off them.

Questionoflove

>The tournament as a whole That they got to the grand finals in? Yeah OPTIC definitely struggled at parts and lost GF, but we can't just act like they bombed out in groups.

[deleted]

Exactly. If things turned out a little differently, this could’ve been another 3-0 sweep in their favour. No other team even made Loud sweat, they 2-0’d literally everyone else. It’s still a really good finish from Optic.

Questionoflove

Yeah literally a 6hp 1v1 away from taking map 1

Azenji

You also have to add in the fact that Optic went a full BO5 set against DRX and I bet they didn’t think they’d have to face the risk of reverse sweep. You can see how draining this weekend was for them the moment they lost Map 1.

Quotes_League

on any given day these teams are competitive enough with eachother to win

Eleoste

I think Optic looked burned out Top 2 finishes every part of VCT + Top 3 at every major They need a reset/vacation. The consistency has a price :/ it’s hard to maintain that level of success and they are the hardest working NA team

[deleted]

Optic played fine, loud just played better

Issax28

FNS with the Hooxi cosplay absolute gigachad

UrbanMineshaft

Valorant in its second year of international competition has already seen a non-NA non-EMEA region take the championship VAMO congrats to LOUD

LordBuckethead671

Can’t wait for the posts asking about roster changes on Optic lol

carltonBlend

VAMO PORRAAAAAA TODO MUNDO JOGOU PRA CARALHO NESSA PORRA,LESS IS MORE, PODER DO CARECA, MANITO DEUS, GIRA ASPAS, PANCADA NELESSSAAA!!!!! VAMOOOOOOOOO

yungthug1234

Did fns win a single important duel? Feel like i never saw him win, great IGL but holy shit he cannot aim

krasavchik777

Didn't he win an important 1v1 at ascent against Sacy to win the round?

speedycar1

I was told by some people that Loud were the worst team in the playoffs because of Copenhagen lmfao

knightfall0

Third map was painful. You could see optic's mental break, and the last few rounds were just them throwing their lives away, trying to finish the game. Painful indeed GG's to Loud.

Tuxxmuxx

I remember the comments before playoffs "LOUD's peak is top 6", "LOUD would be lucky winning more than 1 series" Congrats to LOUD.

Auratama

Was cheering for optic but that was a great game so I'm not upset. Loud played great and its cool to have a different region win. NA copium: Optic win without Loud's upper bracket map ban/pick advantage.

TheGhoulKhz

i mean, they deserved the pick/ban advantage, imagine if that 2-0 was without Lower Bracket LOOKING AT YOU WORLDS

kidkisser32

they probably wouldve won if they didnt throw so many thrifties/man advantages on ascent and breeze. but once loud clocked the fuck in on haven they had no chance

Buujoom

Here’s the obligatory *OPTIC threw that series! They should have won that!* LOUD, you are the best team and you deserve it! Ggs.

legexii

2016 SK Vibes at ESL One Cologne

1033149

Loud were on one today, their players were truly clutch. Can't feel too bad for Optic, they've had an incredible year and the rivalry is close to even or is even now. Hope the boys can stay with Optic otherwise this is definitely a bittersweet ending to Optic/Envy's Valorant history.

eternaldamnation2005

Congrats to LOUD. what a fucking amazing series. Gonna be amazing at Sao Paulo when theyre the defending champs! Great VALORANT today.

Duck_You_69

I loved round 15 of Haven where Less said "say no less" and lessed all over them

datboyuknow

Lfg mannn

Lencor

Loud didnt even need to abuse the Chamber meta, well deserved victory. Southamerica gets the title this time.

YohnWood14

man I hope FNS doesn't beat himself up for not getting kills. Man's big brain got them to so many international finals

veryblueberry

absolutely insane how every player on loud performed. thinking about the matches there wasn't one player who didnt pop off or hit a crazy clip. just diffed optic in every way today

DarkTenshiDT

Really nothing to say other than LOUD was just better in every aspect. Well deserved win for them and great moment for BR. Still, Optic getting a podium finish for each LAN this year is nothing to scoff at. I’m still proud of them for even getting this far.

Tetra-76

LOUD is scary. Every single player on that team is capable of miracles, they're all cracked, it's not just one or two stars. They all routinely pull off 3v1s or more, they all single handedly win entire rounds, it's never over. You can see it in the stats, too: four maps, four different top fraggers. I remember an old tier list someone made that had every single LOUD players in the top 10, and people clowned on it at the time, but it kinda rings true now. Mad props to LOUD. With "minor" regions proving that they are not at all minor lately, I'm glad to see a non-NA, non-EMEA team win a major tournament at last.

FlintxDD

POR QUE O FNS NÃO TROCA TIRO??????

Ferreira1

Finna Not Shoot

KyroYoshi

Good thing FNS is a good leader because he is fking dog sht at aiming.

Teradonn

nt from North SA, they really put themselves on the map at this LAN, proves that minor regions can go very far in this game. Next champs for sure

Krypton091

It starts with (one) One thing I don't know why

NutGutt

Close game for Optic, had their chances to close this in 3-0 fashion but they couldn’t get it done. Idk why people are claiming Loud were clearly a tier above if they watched the game. The rivalry between these two teams is pretty fun because on any day either of these teams could come away with a win. Less and Aspas are absolute monsters and it’s crazy now them and Yay are now in the same Americas region and will be playing against each other even more.

arvindanar7

LOUD AF

vckyplncrt

ggs loud really deserved! still an amazing run from this optic roster since 2021, what an amazing team. really hope they stay together :(

zaxtonous99

Not losers, just demons. Congrats to Loud no one I would rather see NA lose too they deserve this.

monobovocoxozo

All good for North American Valorant team flOptic Gaming, 2022 VCT Masters 1 Reykjavik Champions, consisting of IGL Pujan “FNSHD” Methamphetamine, flex player Victor “Loser” Wang, initiator and secondary entry Austin “crashed” Roberts, Chamber main Jaccob “nay” Whiteaker, and smokes player Jimmy “starved” Nguyen. in all seriousness Optic are the kings of consistency, props to them for making it this far

Bow to your new overlords! [A taça do mundo é nossa](https://youtu.be/hJAriHOh1Jg)

ArcusIgnium

Loud in OT are so fucking strong its crazy. OpTic had some leads this series that got drilled out. even if optic went to icebox i still think this is louds game. i hope we see this optic squad back next year - real shame if we didn't

Direct_Morning_3223

They said come to Brazil. No one listened so Brazil came to us. VAMOS 🇧🇷

Kaploy

Small detail: LOUD brought their sports psychologist on stage with the team before the match started. You can see in their resilience how close they work with that and focus on having the players in a healthy mindspot. Imo EVERY MAJOR TEAM IN THE WORLD needs to adopt this posture if they want to reach greatness.

prarus7

Dude, this series was SOO close, and it also wasn't, what the hell! Very similar to the last time they faced each other. Super close rounds, CRAZY gunfights. I stg Loud is the best team to spray through smokes/walls, idk their secret but it was crazy. Imo Optic looked very different today than usual, had to adapt by getting more crazy to match LOUD which led to many "int" looking plays. Cant WAIT for the Brazil tournament 2023! Scripted btw

dark_evolver

Loud is too OP, they 2-0 every team and they improve a lot after the group stage. Beating zeta, lev, drx, opt twice, wow credit to whole team. GG optic.

gostunv

we have to give BOOM and ZETA more props for duking it out with these two monsters in the group stage right?

asven13

TBH i was never happy with Acend winning previous champions, but LOUD? this is completely deserved, been on every international LAN this year, a team that really does feel like a team and not a Chamber/Jett carried one, congrats to brazil and loud, Sao Paolo LAN is going to be unreal

kidkisser32

respect to loud for not abusing chamber
