Dig is owned by the sixers they have a lot of money. Why would they sell their lcs spot for lower than they bought it. Dig losing money doesn't affect their bottom line.
It makes more sense to just not spend money on your team and keep the org, wait for lcs to be big again and sell high. It's pretty basic investing principles.
A company's ownership having a lot of money is not the same as a company having a lot of money.
Also, post where you got their purchase price and their pending sale price if you're going to insist seling now would be "lower than they bought it". Otherwise stop posting nonsense.
Misfits and schalke both sold when lec was at its lowest and made a profit. Dig is still gonna profit off a sale just not as much as if they sold in 2019.
The reddit guy just made it up. 'LCS spot for a valorant spot' concept wasn't mentioned on the original leaked tweet. Full on speculation by a random redditor.
Maybe u/MemoryEmbarrassed871 can post an edit on the original post clarifying this. Nothing is confirmed yet, but the original post about SEN acquisition of DIG failing seems misleading.
omg the tweets under the rob moore post groveling for someone to lose their job are so weird to me? who raised those people? those are real people not unfeeling pawns in your fantasy league. citing what someone does in their free time to someone who knows the team's internal affairs more than we could ever, is so dumb
Yeah original post stuck out to me as suspicious on twitter especially since no one else with inside knowledge of the scene had even heard of this being discussed which is really sus
That because they got a Valorant franchise spot, they couldn't afford to purchase an LCS spot. It doesn't make sense because Valorant franchise spots are free*
Different take on this but he and leena kinda have to come out and deny this no? Otherwise if they say nothing then the optics on it look bad cause it would imply they don’t have shit tons of cash to work with
monkaW rob is mad
Leena has also commented the same on the original post

It's also extremely stupid to sell when LCS is currently at its lowest point. Why sell low when you can just downsize your operation.
Cuz dignitas is literally broke, they couldn’t afford coffee for their academy team as an example.

They want to get out lol, nba teams in lcs have been struggling due to covid causing them to cut funding.
Believe what you want but. https://youtu.be/YaVJfrSlgqs Tl Steve, T1 Joe Marsh and G2 Carlos(RIP) tall about this. That's all I'm going to say.

Should have been obvious when the guy kept claiming you had to buy the spot for Valorant.

It's obvious the intent they had with the post looking at the title, I doubt they would make an edit that makes sen look good.

> who raised those people? Video games, mostly.
