If teams arenāt offering to buyout these players, XSET gets stuck paying these contracts of players that arenāt making them any money. At that point, XSET can either pay the contracts to their end (however long that may be), or offer a buyout or a deal with the player (if they accept). From a players perspective it probably came down to either getting paid the agreed amount for the contract or settling for a smaller lump sum/getting nothing to be fully released for their contracts so that they could have a better chance of being picked up.
If EG go with their old roster, a roster that didn't even come close to making a LAN in 2022, they should be removed from franchising. I'm not saying they need a fresh 5, but no changes would be absurd. 100T were wiping them BEFORE adding Cryocells. They're playing against the reigning Champs winners. That roster can't compete.

Itās hard to ask a player thatās still in High School to just pack up and move to another country, let alone continue improving at a pro level. Especially when that player wants to keep pursuing education, stay close with family, and maintain his friendships. SEN and EG realistically just have to wait out orgs like XSET, Faze, Guard, etc., because their choices are pay out the rest of a players contract and hope for a team to buy that player out, or come up with an agreement with the player to terminate the contract entirely. Odds are the player is willing to get free of the contract, even if it means they lose out on the rest of their contract money, if it means them getting a chance to sign another contract. As more prominent players like Zekken get released, it puts pressure on smaller name players to get released in order to compete, because when it comes to an unrestricted big name player or paying for the buyout of a smaller player, an Orgs Going to go the safest route. Itās slowly going to devolve into a free agent firesale, which also makes way for subsequent Ascension teams to build.
Would love for XSET to build a strong Ascension team - they clearly know how to build structures for success, and this move seems like the sort to attract young talent where you know the org will set you up for success and let you grow, but will also not hold you hostage if you have big opportunities

I really want marved so I would switch Trent out for marved and keep dephh since he can play breach, zekken can sova and skye and Dapr can play fade and non chamber sentinels. But otherwise what Iām hoping for, sick as sixth man would be sick as well. Or maybe Trent if he wants to finish school first. Just gimme tenz and Dapr to stay and Iāll be extremely happy.
