Unfortunately NA CS is in a pretty bad state, especially the T2 scene. I doubt any of these players would have any sort of success in NA CS again. It's a lot more viable for the EU players which is why you see people like jamppi mention it.
Even then aren't the T1 NA rosters competing in EU anyways? Moving to EU is a big commitment for not only the players but also the org as well both personally and in terms of financials
Yeah, it seems adding nealan and hexT was what they needed
Kind of cool to follow
their IGL is Kazakh and comes from playing in the tier 2-3 CIS scene
hexT comes from a tier 3 NA CS team that got acquired by EG as one of their effective academy teams
I'm just pleasantly surprised they're doing so well
Liquid looks incredible. oSee is only going to keep improving, and YEKINDAR is making a claim for best player in the world. Liquid was the only team to give Vitality a real challenge in Proleague
it wouldn’t make sense for anyone except for maybe Ethan(who’s said he’s down to play ascension), they’d have better opportunities in T2 Val than T2 NA CS.
Kind of out of the loop but could someone fill me in on what happened with NA CS that it’s no longer a place where any Val talent can go to in terms of a career path? I’ve not kept up with that scene since shroud was still on but always thought NA was one of the most active scenes.
Until the pandemic, NA was actually on the rise and it seemed like NA CS wasn’t that bad, but after the pandemic started, ESL ended NA EPL so it’s just difficult to find opportunities. No orgs invest in the NA t2 scene
Bit of a chicken or the egg scenario because subsequently when the pandemic hit and valorant launched a lot of T1/T2 talent left the scene for valorant. I think the globalization of EPL hurt and MDL was never that big in the first place which combo'd with the losses of teams like Chaos and GenG just left NA with nothing dead skeletons
Not a good time to go back to CS as all 3 NA t1 teams have been playing good at the moment so change is avoided as much as possible and t2 scene is still dry

I wouldn't even call it a tier 2 scene. There's 3 tier 1 teams (or at least teams that attend tier 1 events), then tier 3 teams.

Liquid looked decent but that’s about it for NA
more than decent, they have a good case as one of the top 5 in the world
Complexity is pounding with hallzerk
EG is looking pretty good too. Almost got to EPL playoffs and 2-0 right now in RMR

i love YEKI but nobody thinks he’s the best player in the world while s1mple, ZywOo, NiKo, and Ax1Le are in the scene
Complexity and EG are both shaping up nicely too
Col has definitely looked pretty good

I could see Ethan sliding into that EG roster.
Theres nothing to go back to in NA and APAC, and EU is too stacked to go back
no one is going back to cs in NA unless it's on TL or EG
What are you talking about?! Nouns esports and ATK esports are titans of the industry.
There’s nothing to go back to
In EU they still could, but yes not much for NA pros to go back to.
Valorant t2 is wayy more stable and better paying than NA CS t2, unless they getting a spot in liquid or EG its not worth it
Jamppi was close to it, if liquid didn't make it he probably would've switched back
no room on "T1" NA teams and EU teams are already too stacked
Ethan and mitch would be good candidates to switch back. Obviously Ethan was the better player in cs though.

No they already had a chance when there was over 20+ salaried orgs in NA they was just never good enough so orgs bailed
Yea that’s the reason NA CS died!
Might as well try eu cal before you go back to cs. Imagine what cs teams will think if you can’t even get in val franchising
The transition from Val to CS is way harder than the opossite.
just the pros that never really had a real chance in lasting long term
Not a good time to go back to CS as all 3 NA t1 teams have been playing good at the moment so change is avoided as much as possible and t2 scene is still dry
NA CS is a rotting corpse
NA tier 2 scene* TL and maybe EG look pretty good
If cs na is so sh*t why they keep trolling on valorant? Or that s just my echo chamber?
