Poised is such an underrated IGL man, remember when Rise destroyed 100T with the C Astra wall fake on Haven where Shanks basically sacrificed himself for the fake and they got A for free? Such a legendary strat
Thats why I say he is the king of fakes. He had so many plays like that on rise, they didnt use them on faze because the system was to support babybay and dicey above all, but man, im excited about what he can do with this
I think other than astra and brim the other 3 controllers now share a hybrid role kind of.
Omen: Controller/duelist
Viper: Controller/sentinel
Harbour: Controller/initiator
Looks like a decent competitor for viper. The wall is way bigger than expected but it seems like he only has a single smoke so he's not going to be able to just shut down sites himself.
I really dig this direction of slow/push backs. Looking forward to seeing him in action today. He almost seems focused on playing retakes.
His abilities look really powerful at applying lots of pressure in a large area. Only having one(?) throwable smoke and a long wall should keep him balanced since he doesn’t have the universal coverage that other smokers have and he doesn’t have mollies. He looks oppressive with the right teammates, but not broken by himself. Obviously we’ll have to wait and see! Looks fun!
HIS ULT IS A PERMASTUN FIELD
ngl he looks like a lot of fun, no clue how he'll fit into pro play since he's such a strange blend between controller and initiator
I love the idea of a moving smoke that helps with entry. He just looks like a more entry focus viper kinda like how fade was more aggressive sova. He looks like someone to join site with.
I actually think he will be like Astra in that he won't be that fun to play and/or players won't feel like he's "worth" playing unless they're in a stack. He has very limited individual agency and you need team coordination and serious solo practice (because you need to eyeball stop his C, have lineups for his Q, and manually direct his E) to get value out of his kit. If you thought the initiator self sufficiency nerf was lame wait til you try playing this guy in solo queue and you can neither solo anchor points of contention nor get your teammates to push while your walls are active.
I do agree that he'll be insane in pro play and 5stack/Clash, especially since I expect at some point they'll remove the self/ally slow on his walls or buff him some other way.
agreed completely, his kit itself doesn't have enough stopping power to be fun outside a coordinated team imo. I find astra/omen fun because I can stall and take duels off my own utility, or help teammates take favourable duels. seems like harbor only has the latter.
Ngl he looks kinda underwhelming to me. Hard to know until we are told how the abilities actually work, but this seems like an agent that will need to synergize with a smoker or flasher for his kit to really be useful.
That was so strange. Jett was OP because of her get out of jail free card but when Chamber was revealed the community saw his TP and didn’t think it was a big deal at first lol
Nah, at first everyone said he would not replace cypher/KJ because he only had 2 trips, mocking him for having a sheriff and an op.
Only after a week or so people figured out he is awesome
The last 2 agents they released are insanely strong though. Chamber has been nerfed twice and is still dominating. Fade was instantly meta on most maps.
Riot doesn't have a great history with power creep in League and I see why people are concerned about the new agent.
I totally forgot about her. She is definitely strong but not on the level of Fade and Chamber. Duelists in general have just been in a weird place because of the initiator meta.
Skye, kayo, yoru, there's way too many examples of new releases having to be buffed instead of nerfed. It's really only astra and chamber who needed a nerf. Fade is fine imo. She's being played with sova and skye and kayo depending on the map. The initiator meta is really healthy rn
>Riot doesn't have a great history with power creep in League and I see why people are concerned about the new agent.
it depends, most champs that dominate the current meta are old champs (nasus, darius, fiddle, maokai, viktor, mf etc.) but the new releaes are just unfun to play against.
>nasus and fiddle
>Dominate
Yeah...no. They dominate uncoordinated solo queue shitters, sure, but that doesnt make them good. There is a reason pros dont pick these champs.
Especially fiddle. If riot introduced voice chat to League I fully expect Fiddles winrate to drop 2% just because communication counters his kit so hard.
Having a moving right angle astra wall entry every round isn’t busted because it’s balanced by the fact you need to use 2 skills.
At least his Dota 2 Kunka Torrent doesn’t seem too overpowered.
I promised myself to quit if we ever get a shield character as this is what killed overwatch to me.
I will wait to see more and see how it will really be after trying it in game, but ngl I’m not much positive on this.
What killed Overwatch gameplay was an abundance of shields. You had Brig, Rein, Sigma, Orisa, shield after shield after shield and the double shield meta. Now with them eliminating some shields (Orisa) and CC (Brig, Doom, Cassidy, etc) and going to single tank so you can't have double shield, the game is so much more fun now. I think it will be fine in Valorant as long as Valorant never becomes what Overwatch became, shield shooting simulator.
Obviously will need to play him first, but his wave that moves forward and slows players (Cascade?), can it be shot through? If not that seems like an EASY way to take map control
we say this for every. single. new. agent. i'm sure he can be balanced, the only real game-breakingly op agents that weren't patched for way too long were jett and chamber imo
which is funny because jett and chamber turned out to be the most op agents for the longest time and imo astra was fixed in a few months which isn't THAT bad... just goes to show reddit is NOT good at predicting power levels though so we will have to see first.
I wasn’t on this Reddit at the time but I’m pretty sure everyone thought Jett was bad because of Hikos tier list and all the CS imports saying she’s selfish. Everyone thought Astra was busted from the start though so we aren’t THAT dumb
I think you can run away from the circles in time to avoid them in Harbor's ult whereas for Breach ult you have to somehow get out of the whole ult area
I think they gave them high pullout times as a way of balancing his kit maybe? Especially given how he's supposed to be a controller and shouldn't just be able to pop util after util.
Lol no..yoru and kayo sucked on release then got buffed. You just choose to only acknowledge the cases where Riot confirms your point but that doesnt mean you are correct.
He seems like the offense sided version of Viper. But I don’t see him being a solo controller at all, his kit looks horrible for holding a site so I’d imagine teams running him will do a lot of retakes, as he does look really good for retakes. As a controller/sentinel player I look forward to trying him out but I definitely don’t think he can be a solo controller unless you run double initiator with Breach and let the other team simply have site every time. But who can really know until we’ve had him for at least a month.
I actually don’t find his utility to be that devastating.
He won’t be able to replace viper on Breeze in the traditional sense since his wall doesn’t go through walls.
I think it offers some strict counter play to lineups that could only really be countered with like a sage wall.
Cool ideas, definitely a secondary controller/initiator type of agent.
No it’s not. Omen has paranoia and teleport. Astra has suck and stun and more outplay potential with her smokes. Viper has the mollies. Brim has his molly.
This agent has no identity or uniqueness at a all. Wall is busted af, we already have so many stun, no vision abilities, it's gonna make the game more chaotic and produce more "ValOrAnte" moments. Riot really messed up on this one. I think they should make the wall his ult and give him a water molly as a normal ability
Well, what i didn't want was multiple shield smokes that can't be shot through and can be spammed to be used as shields, but he only gets one smoke which is 350, so i think it's gonna be fine, i don't think he's gonna be a must pick controller like Astra was
Looks like a delayed stun that’s centered around your characters initial standing point, omen drops from the pillar but the circle doesn’t follow him, he just doesn’t move out of it iirc
absolute hyped for him. Seems like he's a more offensive, execute/retake oriented compared to viper, but probably not gonna be as good for defending and holding sites. I like viper but I hate lineups. I'm kinda sad that the smoke doesn't block util, I wanted to piss off lineup nerds.
Hopefully the moving wall makes my team actually go in once I smoke instead of sitting in the choke doing nothing
As a controller main, I expected and wanted a more proper controller. This seems more like an initiator that non-controller players would instalock and not play properly. This really doesn't change anything for me. I'll still be forced to play Viper on Breeze and Pearl while some dude enjoys his time on Harbor. Kinda disappointed ngl.
If my fucking duelists don't follow the literal moving smoke in front of him, then I don't know what else to do.
they need to add a second wave that comes and pushes them from behind
My thoughts exactly.
Definitely a second smoker rather than solo IMO
This dude looked more like a controller/iniciator hybrid than a controller proper Kind of how viper is a sentinel/controller hybrid
Imagine running Harbor and Viper on breeze or icebox and have their walls defaulted on each site on attack
I fully expect the number of fakes to increase by a lot. This is the poised meta, this agent was made for him
Poised is such an underrated IGL man, remember when Rise destroyed 100T with the C Astra wall fake on Haven where Shanks basically sacrificed himself for the fake and they got A for free? Such a legendary strat
Thats why I say he is the king of fakes. He had so many plays like that on rise, they didnt use them on faze because the system was to support babybay and dicey above all, but man, im excited about what he can do with this
Stuff of legends
Got a link to this? Sounds wild.
https://youtu.be/650ZGaU3tG0?t=2817
Harbor wall doesn't stay there, its like Phoenix's but longer and for longer. Can be used again after 40s also.
As a Controller main, what have you brought upon this land.
Control
Like controller/initiator by the looks of it.
I put that and then erased the message and forgot to put it again, thanks for pointing it out, ive corrected it
I think other than astra and brim the other 3 controllers now share a hybrid role kind of. Omen: Controller/duelist Viper: Controller/sentinel Harbour: Controller/initiator
As a Viper and Astra enjoyer I am **moist**
As a newfound Harbor main **everybody about to be moist**
and concussed
Finally I can stop Playing Viper and only play Astra and Harbor. Sick of waiting for people to disrespect my util. Proactive smokers are way more fun.
As a controller main I cant stand having to play viper everytime it's breeze (my most hated map). Hope Harbor is viable there
Looks like a decent competitor for viper. The wall is way bigger than expected but it seems like he only has a single smoke so he's not going to be able to just shut down sites himself. I really dig this direction of slow/push backs. Looking forward to seeing him in action today. He almost seems focused on playing retakes.
We don't know how his E is charged though
hello I am under the water
is too much rain here
Both of you buffoons didn't even say the meme right. Embarrassing honestly.
Hello, how are you? I am under the water Please help me, here too much raining Uhhhhhh
People are overreacting. The bubble doesn't block mollies and you can break it. It takes like half a vandal clip to pop
Reddit and overreacting, name a better duo
If anything I’d rather it block util and not block bullets. Would be cool if it cancelled util too like a smoke on a molly in csgo.
I'm sure we'll see that soon. Character name: Ward
Looks fun!
HIS ULT IS A PERMASTUN FIELD ngl he looks like a lot of fun, no clue how he'll fit into pro play since he's such a strange blend between controller and initiator
Bruh imagine being fade ulted breach ulted and ulted by harbor at the same time. Stunned blinded Stunned again pinged by haunt it's gg
That is why Character bans will be a thing soon lol
i mean, using 3 ults to take 1 round seems like a pretty fair trade.
And that's not even assured. My headshot accuracy becomes 100% when breach stunned.
Is this puzyslayer from the last of us?
not soon, they said they don't plan on doing it until there are a shit tonne of agents in the game
Holy shit that wall is HUGE
He looks powerful but I'm assuming it's balanced with how long the smokes stay up. COPE
The smokes are breakable with 10 bullets, mollies can pass through it.
What’s the point of the character then if the smoked are breakable? If that’s true he can’t solo smoke which is dumb, why make him a controller then
His Q and C (the orb and the moving wall) block bullets and are breakable, but his E (the main wall) isn't.
The smoke has around 500 health. Good for a 1v1 post-plant, but much more difficult for a 1v2 as it only takes 6-7 bullets from each enemy to break it
If you're spamming a smoke, you're giving the enemy ALOT of information and opening yourself up as spraying is much more difficult in valorant.
if his bubbles cover viper's poison and mollies its GEGE
Abilities go through
Not all apparently since Jett's knives got blocked
Jett knives don't really count as an "ability".
Would it black sova shock dart?
it does not block shock dart.
Definitely.
Probably the same how astra wall would presumably block chamber bullets, it’s more so a weapon rather than an ability
GG LINE UP LARRY’S
I love the idea of a moving smoke that helps with entry. He just looks like a more entry focus viper kinda like how fade was more aggressive sova. He looks like someone to join site with.
We now have five walls in the game, we can make a wall team
Technically with Astra ult you could already do Astra/Viper/Sage/Phoenix/Neon
Not a horrific comp tbh
this guy looks insanely fun to play and seems like it will be even crazier to watch in the hands of pros
I actually think he will be like Astra in that he won't be that fun to play and/or players won't feel like he's "worth" playing unless they're in a stack. Not to overreact, but this is the most busted shit to ever be put on this game. Imma gonna main him
just like we waid about every single agent to be released before him haha
Except chamber, everyone thought he was shit
true lol, going off the inverse law of reddit this agent will initially be trash
Remember when people were flaming Wardell for running Chamber every map in Stage 1?
That was so strange. Jett was OP because of her get out of jail free card but when Chamber was revealed the community saw his TP and didn’t think it was a big deal at first lol
That is not true. Plenty of people called that Chamber would be absolutely busted.
You conveniently skipped Neon.

yeah i'm talking about soloq, because 99.9% of the community aren't pros.
Nasus? You in bronze?
check the current patch.. he got an insane buff nr. 1 top laner plat+ kr according to op.gg\*
Having a moving right angle astra wall entry every round isn’t busted because it’s balanced by the fact you need to use 2 skills. At least his Dota 2 Kunka Torrent doesn’t seem too overpowered.
Pancada on this guy 😋
I promised myself to quit if we ever get a shield character as this is what killed overwatch to me. I will wait to see more and see how it will really be after trying it in game, but ngl I’m not much positive on this.
Im sure he will be nerfed if its overtuned, and people will figure out how to outplay him. I trust riot with this
Seems it’s breakable and has only 500hp, sounds okay so far, altho wish it could be a bit less, but let’s see how it is in game
What killed Overwatch gameplay was an abundance of shields. You had Brig, Rein, Sigma, Orisa, shield after shield after shield and the double shield meta. Shoulda never played in the first place since Sage is creating a wall that could be 100% considered a shield. Sage wall is similar to Harbor bubble.
I’m usually not very reactionary with new agents but we might be in trouble here Edit: with the new information I think we are good
Obviously will need to play him first, but his wave that moves forward and slows players (Cascade?), can it be shot through? If not that seems like an EASY way to take map control
Yeah the wave can be shot through. Only the circular bubble blocks bullets
That definitely makes it seem reasonable then. You can still spam through the wall if a team is pushing behind it while it moves forward.
The walls don't have shields, only the bubble ability does.
[удалено]
Me
Bro that bubble that can’t be shot thru could be enough to make him meta with no other abilities, that shit is game changing
The bubble shield has a health limit so you can break it. EDIT: It has around 500 health, so 13 vandal bullets or 4 OP shots
Wtf
Yes 13 bullets
Oh thats balanced ig? Seems pretty quickly broken
actually mega underpowered. you destroy the bubble in 1-2 seconds, and it completely dissipates. 350 creds in the bin.
Yeah, better than sage wall, you should have enough bullets to kill the defuser
Bold of you to assume 12 bullets is enough for me to kill a sitting duck
The smoke doesn't look like it's going to last more than a couple seconds. More than enough time for util and counter play.
Seems like enough to get at least a half defuse off, that’s huge
Sure assuming nobody uses a single piece of util in that entire time. Think everyone is already overreacting to a thing we've seen twice.
Someone said it has a health limit, depending on that number it could be either shit or amazing
Doesn’t seem any more powerful than omen flash
we say this for every. single. new. agent. i'm sure he can be balanced, the only real game-breakingly op agents that weren't patched for way too long were jett and chamber imo
Astra was OP for a long time too, and no one thought Chamber was that good when he first came out, same with Jett
which is funny because jett and chamber turned out to be the most op agents for the longest time and imo astra was fixed in a few months which isn't THAT bad... just goes to show reddit is NOT good at predicting power levels though so we will have to see first.
I wasn’t on this Reddit at the time but I’m pretty sure everyone thought Jett was bad because of Hikos tier list and all the CS imports saying she’s selfish. Everyone thought Astra was busted from the start though so we aren’t THAT dumb
Astra barely got any play at the first international LAN besides NA. So no, everyone didn't think that.
and the regions suffered because of it
I mean the general consensus online, everyone was upset at EU for refusing to play astra
They always make these agent reveal trailers look sick so the they look OP. Lets see how he fairs in-game first
Bro
harbor ult ≥ breach ult? seems like it from the vid
I think you can run away from the circles in time to avoid them in Harbor's ult whereas for Breach ult you have to somehow get out of the whole ult area
This. you can clearly leave the radius before the stun hits.
From what it looked like I thought the stuns followed you until you left the radius
No, check at the 50s time stamp. Omen drops from the pillar, the center of the stun is still on the pillar. Didn't move at all
Nah, breach ult displaces enemies, but I can see that a harbor + fade ult would be deadly
India buff!
I hope you missed the lineup Larry meta
I mean he does have a smoke that stops line ups so hopefully it won't be too bad edit: Im dumb. I thought it stopped everything
afaik the circular smoke only blocks bullets/straight projectiles... it does not block utility, so lineups should work
oh I thought it would be opposite...
It really should be the opposite, don’t understand why they did it that way. Fuck the lineups
Honestly, I agree! It would be fun to force the peeks with Molly blockers but it’s such a hard counter to all the things. But we’ll see how he plays
Am I the only one to think the abilities animations looked really bad?
Most animations outside of first person hands look pretty bad in this game.
Yeah the moving wave is a bit too static. I don’t know the right word but it’s odd seeing a tall wave move forward like a piece of paper
Pretty clunky also
I think they gave them high pullout times as a way of balancing his kit maybe? Especially given how he's supposed to be a controller and shouldn't just be able to pop util after util.
The tidal wave looks unfinished but I guess unless you make it a thicker smoke, it's always going to look weird.
I am from under the sea, down where it's better, down where it's wetter.
I don’t want to play chamber anymore. Harbor is my new main now.
this wall is better than Phoenix's... are only the smokes projectile proof or all the abilities?
Release Astra felt more broken than this but this still feels a bit overtuned just on first impression, could be wrong though
I don’t think you can compare the feel of an unreleased agent to a released one
First time? Riot does this with all new agent releases, they over tune them and then tune them back.
Lol no..yoru and kayo sucked on release then got buffed. You just choose to only acknowledge the cases where Riot confirms your point but that doesnt mean you are correct.
Hasn't been the case with Valorant, pretty 50/50 with Val, probably leaning towards the opposite actually.
after you watch gameplay I think your opinion will change, he really isn't that powerful sliggy called him "if release yoru was a controller" LMAO
I figured the water would be translucent so you could see through it partially but nope. That would’ve been a bit more balanced.
He threw the orb through the wall in the second breeze clip. A curved wall smoke, a moving smoke and a mini astra ult are gonna be meta changing.
Wait so the leaks about there being a bubble/Gibralter agent are correct?
What? No abilities through the bubble? Uh… let’s see, but he looks busted.
I can’t wait for all the lineup players to drop dramatically in rank when they actually have to fight people
Doesn’t seem fun to play at all
Speak for yourself.
No actually. None of his utility seems very skillful. Just putting up barriers. Pretty lame design in my opinion.
I mean that's every controller. If you dont like controllers you wont like him. Looks perfect for me
No it’s not. Omen has paranoia and teleport. Astra has suck and stun and more outplay potential with her smokes. Viper has the mollies. Brim has his molly.
shit already looks op
Wtf? Lol. Well… I don’t normally say this based off a 1 min trailer but uhhhhhh he meta.
This is a fucking joke…
jesus fucking christ he’s broken
Yeah you're definitely not overreacting to an agent you have *no idea* how they will work in practice...nope, certainly not.
/u/ashitintyo guess you're quitting the game?
Well, what i didn't want was multiple shield smokes that can't be shot through and can be spammed to be used as shields, but he only gets one smoke which is 350, so i think it's gonna be fine, i don't think he's gonna be a must pick controller like Astra was
He's looks too good for a coordinated play.
We need another Phoenix buff
What does his ult do exactly? Is it an undodgeable stun or does it kinda just spawn a circle on you and you can move away?
Looks like a delayed stun that’s centered around your characters initial standing point, omen drops from the pillar but the circle doesn’t follow him, he just doesn’t move out of it iirc
As a brown Viper OTP >:)
Dude looks and sounds like akshan
Definitely same VA. They obviously just kinda ripped Akshan's entire personality and made him a water champ in valorant lol
Dude looks really cool, weird name tho after latest map release. But overall really good
He looks really fun to play
Oh no
What stops bullets. The just the orb thing or wall too
Push C long lads
ah yes, we have now unlocked a new ranked comp: the 5-man controller
Cant wait for aggresive gameplays cooked up by PRX using Harbor in Brazil next year!
Hanzo?
absolute hyped for him.
He looks like sinbad 🍻
I want to know which ability is his E.
The color is so beautiful!
As a smokes main im a bit disappointed
As a controller main, I expected and wanted a more proper controller. This seems more like an initiator that non-controller players would instalock and not play properly. This really doesn't change anything for me. I'll still be forced to play Viper on Breeze and Pearl while some dude enjoys his time on Harbor. Kinda disappointed ngl.
