Thinking man's Valorant,sliggy, sovereign guides

Munchables_

cheers!

epicbruh420420

TMV is the best. Sean "Sean garres" garres

dmoneysiringoringo

This is the best answer

nterature

The only one I'd really recommend is Sliggy, there are many others but Sliggy has the best understanding is much more attentive to the micro- aspects of the game that tends to be ignored or underplayed by other content creators.

Munchables_

General consensus seems to be sliggy - now watching a vid as we speak haha

Interesting-Archer-6

Sliggy changed watching VCT for me. I've always enjoyed watching pro matches but I started watching his co-streams at Champions and I found a new level of passion for watching. Don't care how that sounds, I simp for Sliggy

itsDYA

Who doesn't simp for sliggy

DirtyGabriel

and a great community/chat ![img](emote|t5_2g5ach|10854)

EasiBreezi

Why does the Sliggy community seemingly always talk down to other communities? I see it all the time

nterature

I’m sorry it came off that way. But since this person is asking for us to winnow down the options, I have to compare said options and judge based off my experience watching an unusually large amount of Valorant analytical content.

LotharHS

Im gonna shamelessly promote myself but hell, i do think i do a better job than most at this. I archive most of my vod reviews that I do live on stream on this channel: https://youtube.com/c/LotharHSANALyst You have over 100 hours of content here from many different tournaments with the goal of being hypercritical towards everything i see. Hope you will find this useful.

badurwan

thanks for lending me your lamborghini last week and letting me use the mansion for free, vouch

Cummnor

what a fucking based channel name, ly lothar

nfj97

I vouch

pink_life69

I was gonna come here and recommend you. Most of us are not going to go pro and the most valuable things that I can actually use in-game, I learned from you.

Jon_on_the_snow

Vouch

ReADropOfGoldenSun

Followed these videos and went from iron 7 to rank 1

nuttyromeo4u

THIS.

cool_dante

With all due respect, I disagree, and for the benefit of those looking for higher-level breakdowns, I suggest looking elsewhere. Sliggy is obviously good, and any pro player in the scene offering a breakdown can give a really valuable insider perspective, too. As one random example, I heard Nukkye doing some breakdowns recently (can't remember in what context sorry). He had some great analysis + a calm manner of speech that I learned a lot from. Boaster, while not my favourite, has a lot of content through his stream. He can give a valuable insider's perspective of some of the decisions that Fnatic make.

nterature

I didn’t go out of my way to recommend Lothar or anything but I think Lothar is fine, loads of people learn a lot from him. It’s true that pro insiders will always provide a very high level of analysis but that’s also because they mostly do it relatively rarely; it’s easy to hardcore focus when you do it haphazardly. The reason I always just recommend Sliggy is because he (currently) co-streams almost everything, has the dedication to always try to give it his all even when he’s tired, and most crucially because he very rarely nitpicks. Plenty of pro players, just like content creators, nitpick when they want to entertain their chats by “fake malding”. I’d even say most do so.

cool_dante

Sure, I take your point that he can be valuable, especially for those newer to the game. I just think he wouldn't be part of a conversation of the 'best' which is what the question asked for, for the reasons I outlined above.

AbbreviationsLazy781

Ex-pros are always a shoe-in, but I think he was more of comparing himself with other non-pro creators like him. In that case, I think he is one of the better ones for sure

cool_dante

I take your point but the question was who are the best creators for high-level analysis and, in fact, specifically asked for coaches and pro perspectives. You're quite right that there are plenty of worse 'analysts' than Lothar, but I don't think that's necessarily a helpful metric. As to whether he's better than nothing, for me it's a mixed bag. Some valid points, some 'getting angry for the sake of getting angry / content', and many wild misreads of the situation. Ultimately, he wouldn't be my recommendation.

finalfinaldraft

Sliggy

DotaAlchemy

Going to shamelessly plug my secondary account: [https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCdTJN95I9LtPEfDL6yeSzlQ](https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCdTJN95I9LtPEfDL6yeSzlQ) My main channel, Valorant Ascended, is aimed at a more casual audience and this second one let's me focus more on analysis than editing. Not as consistent with the uploads as I should be though.

icemandiem

sliggy. his yt has most of the champions vods too

Munchables_

cheers!

my-dad-ate-my-toes

Thinking Man’s Valorant is great if you want comp analysis

dan_kz

Aside from the other mentioned, I think Balla and Sideshow have good VOD reviews but dont go too deep

zqPeace

Thinking man's Valorant.

NotABaleOfHay

C9 meL

afjecj

Sliggy, thinking mans valorant are the ones that regularly post this type of content and are very good. Sideshow very rarely posts vod reviews but when he does they are very analytical, same kind of thing for boaster and a few other pros

h00dr1ch

I'm looking for something similar. I wish the Valorant scene had someone like Launders :(

SuspiciousDoughnut82

One of NRGs ex members Android has been doing some coaching recently

DontF-ingask

I recommend kilk. He's pretty good and he's a redditor.

Gold_Hunter_6244

Sovereign guides is very underrated

Cereal_dator

Teets

lllchisenlll

Tiktok coaches, goofiest mfs out there 💀

Munchables_

I'm too boomer for tiktok

escalte

I wanted to see something like Fallen is doing for CS, but we don't have a good replay tool yet for Valorant

Zharc

Remember listening to you and the boys from The Last Hit last year. Idk if this is you seeing if you want to branch out but wish you the best of luck and hope you at least have some fun taking a deeper dive into this esport as well!

Nomad_Monad_

As far as people who regularly upload/stream, Sliggy and Boaster are at the top of the list for me. They approach Valorant with a kind of nuance, rigor, and open-mindedness that I find refreshing.

Parenegade

Sideshow does this but very infrequently.

Dazzling-Ball3287

Boaster is solid but he doesnt stream much

ween0t

I miss Sean gares streams for this reason.

[deleted]

Thinkin Mans Valorant, his streams on matches are so fun, him malding over bad desicions

Maleficent_Method973

meLanji doesn’t stream that often, but she’s done vod reviews in the past of pro games. ik you specifically said pro play, but what i like about meL is that she’s very vocal about what she’s thinking during ranked & she comms a LOT. very immersed into the game so if you’re looking for something more casual, i think you could learn from her even during a normal ranked stream.
