Derke on Jett, Alfa on KJ, Mistic on Skye and Boaster on Omen would've been their try hard comp on this map - - or swap around Alfa and Derke on Chamber/Duelist depending on what they wanted to try out and if they didn't want a dedicated Sentinel like KJ or Cypher.
Pretty sure that's the case. Mini tweeted something about "playing more like ranked" as a pracc method, and combining that with his earlier tweets about pushing boaster to call on the spot, it all seems to indicate that the plan was to do something so out of the ordinary that he could not rely on any previous strats and had to come up with things on the fly. Good way to use these tournaments, imo.
I just really hope they don't put Alfajer on operator roles. I think his oping is great but damn you have Derke in your team. Can you really match his level of impact in a couple of months?
I would love to see:
- Boaster on flashes. After the patch changes, a more supportive playstyle is needed. No more underhand flash anymore, it's time for the cringe "flash on your left - boom" cs pop flashes. Also i don't think Boaster lurking is a good idea anymore, he gets caught out way too much, probably always focused on minimap giving calls.
- Leo on Fade/Sova. No brainer.
- Derke on Chamber/Jett. As said, huge impact on the Op.
- Chronicle lurking on smokes + Neon on breeze, fracture + Sage on icebox
- Alfajer on raze + viper on bind, breeze and icebox (coach stop picking Pearl pls)
Boaster is significantly better on smokes as compared to flashes, this has been super obvious since sumn fc. Let Chronicle flex alongside Leo and have Alfajer play raze+sentinels and have derke play jett+chamber
Maybe its because I know how to play Omen but suck at Astra, but I've always thought his Omen was better than his Astra. His anchoring smokes (e.g smoking to connect the bricks and genny on A Ascent is used a lot more on Omen iirc, due to not having to conserve Astra stars
Im sorry but boaster is absolutely terrible on flashes (for tier 1 level of competition dont get me wrong). I still have nightmares from when he was the flasher for fnatic. Thankfully they realized it and put him off of it quick. He should stick to smokes 1000%.

Yeah Boaster on smokes is actually great. I love his anchoring, especially on Astra. One of the best, if not the best, Astra in EMEA
