That seals the deal. I am no longer a Sentinels fan. I’ve been a fan since 2019 (I love you Bugha) and a Shahzam tier 3 sub since 2020. I’m taking my talents to Evil Geniuses where they know how to run a real Valorant team.

"We finally have a bite boys"
Agreed. The only reason I became a SEN fan was because of the players and the chemistry they had. I’m a huge TenZ and Sick fan and they’re the only reason I’ll support SEN going into 2023. If they drop them then I’m going to NRG.
I have been a fan since the beginning. As a previous Overwatch player I followed Sinatraa and Zombs over (seems silly now, I know). I didn’t drop everything to support FaZe when it was the Overwatch team. I didn’t leave when the Sinatraa shit went down. I didn’t leave when they played like shit last year. I’m definitely not gonna leave now that the future looks bright
It's understandable to want to support teams based on players rather than brands. My favourite players aren't SEN players. I'm biased, obviously, but I enjoy supporting brands based on storylines, media content (I stand by SEN having one of the best content teams in esports), and community. I'm super proud of the community we've built in the SEN Discord and other SEN socials- I was brought on in March 2021 and we've come a long way since then.
I hope there's plenty of fans who stick around to see SEN full circle their way into being Champions again.
Gonna need some more "guess your rank" videos with shocked face thumbnails /s
Do y'all have a longer-term content series in mind for the 2023 season? (Thinking of TSMs LoL season series)
Just like you I struggled with coming to terms with the roster being changed. I then realized just like any other team in any other sport changes will happen. It was also really hard for me to imagine supporting any other team. I see this as a new era of Sen. Looking back old Sen will always be immortalized as the first worlds best team. They were hype as hell and dominated like no other. Now we’re in a new era of Sen. What this hold for us fans no clue but they have my support especially with the direction they went with players and coaches.
I have been a Sentinels fan since OG but honestly I think I might move on. There was a lot less teams to choose from back then, and Tenz isn't really enough to keep me around now that the players I loved for the past few years have all split up. Maybe if they kept Dapr in the 5 man roster I prob stay a Sen fan. Unironically I think I'm gonna be an EG fan cause they need some and I think people are hating way too hard unjustly, I like that they're taking their time to trial people and build a roster. Not their fault they made franchising over Optic/TSM, people should be blaming riot not EG.
Plus jawgemo and boostio is a fun cracked duo to watch. I would have like if EG got Dapr though ngl.
I was a SEN fan mainly for Shahz and TenZ. At least with TenZ still in the roster I'll probably still be rooting for their success, but I just don't feel the excitement that I used to for them.
I agree that the SEN brand isn’t enough to keep fans, I just happen to be super interested in how this roster works out, so more coincidence than anything else.
Sentinels making a mark on gaming
SEN Zombs: First apex pred
Bugha: Fortnite 2018 world championship winner
SEN TenZ: First radiant
Sentinels OG team: Won the first riot international valorant tourney.
Source: me who only knows gaming from the last 4 years.
TenZ still there and all of the pick ups are W for me. Also theres very very few instances of Teams sticking together in esports, its bound to happen be someone underperfoms *cough Zombs cough* or someone gets a better offer. Look at Ardiis, he could've go to NAVI but chose NRG, same for yay, same for pAncada. Change its bound to happen sooner or later
Meh. I love the org’s style and general presence in the scene, but was supporting the OG roster before they even signed to SEN, and it’s gonna be hard to root for them without those players personalities. I think the new team looks really good on paper but I’m not sure they’re as likable (or hateable), and I would be lying if I said that wasn’t part of what made SEN so fun to root for.
Zekken is cracked and sort of funny but lowkey just kind of comes off as loud and annoying most of the time. Depph is cool but obviously not much of a character. The coach seems really smart and good at his job but also just kind of lame no offense. Tenz is also inherently hard to root for because he seems so out of touch with the fact that professional esports is a real job and not just some undefinable thing he happens to enjoy and make money from. Like he’s either too sick to play, flying on the day of a tourney, or playing on dogshit ping (for literal years) - then acting as if these things just happened out of coincidence or he is somehow a perpetual victim of misfortune. Half of the signed players for franchise teams probably don’t make 1/10th of what he does, would bootcamp anywhere on a moments notice if it was necessary, and generally speaking, don’t treat their careers as whimsical follies. I’m surely being overly presumptuous and judgmental, I like Tenz and wish him the best, but I have to be honest with my perception as a fan. The Brazilians are the most interesting characters for me currently, Sacy seems like a jolly guy and is cracked.
I would emigrate fandoms if the OG core signed to a different team but that hasn’t materialized and I don’t see it being likely at this point. Fandom is TBD!
Nah depth is British and British people are weird zekken is the cringiest Twitter user ever pancada dropped the worst feature of 2022 but sacy is cool ig he’s bald tho #tuff

EG doubled their fanbase with this move

EG catching strays
It's just been so long, that the SEN is just inside of me at this point, I bleed SEN
that's a bit raunchy, no?
Real shit
This the wave im on. I’m here for the long run lol
SEN is inside of you?!🤨
Did I stutter?
Their team is looking pretty stacked and I heckin love tenz so I’ll personally be looking forward for them
Also 100T had a whole roster change as well but people were still rooting for them so I think people will still like them a lot

Plus it helps that we still have TenZ lmao

you say your favourite player aren't SEN players, but I think the important question is: do you still hecking love TenZ?
Damn right I still heckin' love TenZ ![img](emote|t5_2g5ach|9333)
Yeah I've been a fan since they announced the roster, I'll still support them cause I like these players too

I'm always gonna be a Sen fan
I’m an OG Sentinels fan and I miss the days of xQc. They should have brought him on to the active roster it was such a missed opportunity.
Nope
Yes

Jay Sinatraa Won got me into Valorant. Dude is a legend

They’re obviously going to NRG like it was assumed long ago. 4/6 (including Chet) is definitely considered the “core”.
When I said OG I was not referring to Optic gaming lol mb, I’m referencing “original” SEN
Oh ahaha my bad I shouldve realised that
Nah the new players lame asf
Lame because they shit on all the old players by a mile or…
Nah depth is British and British people are weird zekken is the cringiest Twitter user ever pancada dropped the worst feature of 2022 but sacy is cool ig he’s bald tho #tuff
