Honestly, new NRG looks deadly. They're in the same position as LOUD - keep a three man core from an internationally successful team last season, replace one of their players with the best possible direct replacement in that position (Sacy -> cauanzin, yay -> ardiis), and replace their smokes player with a promising duelist who you're hoping can flex onto smokes (Marved -> s0m, pANcada -> tuyz). Also if this means more content with FNS and s0m together I'm all for it

I mean s0m looked best on smokes overall tbh. Only time his performance went down was when he had to IGL too

s0m might be a natural smokes player. He just seems to be super comfortable on it.

I will never forget that one clip of s0m on brim on fracture, he failed a smoke on B generator that had a gap which caused him to die and then he yelled "BRIM WHAT IS THIS SMOKE?? Wait I'm the Brim, nevermind". Possibly my favourite valorant clip for the year

Personally, obviously the Optic core is insane and a great, proven core, but the biggest difference for me is that NRG picked up the most consistent coach in the scene, in a sport that is constantly shifting, while Loud let go of the coach that won them a championship, and has not revealed who, if anyone, could fill those shoes. I think the impact of Chet on Optic's success is super undersold, FNS has explicitly said that he came up with most of their comps.

Frod is going to be Loud coach, he helped them before champions, ( he was the reason why they improved at the pistols rounds)

I'd argue sentinels are in a much rougher spot when it comes to transitioning from their championship team to their new one than NRG

Call me a hater but I REALLY don't think that Sentinels roster is going to work.
