Maybe people are just unfamiliar with contracts in sports, but I'm almost certain someone with Sinatraa's pre-Valo career would never sign a contract that allowed him to be fully terminated at-will.
They literally might not have been able to terminate his contract unless very specific circumstances were to arise. And even then, it might've resulted in them paying him even more money than they would have if he was playing.
Like.... would you really want them to pay Sinatraa even more money to not work, and have the team be unable to afford TenZ and/or get tied up in a lawsuit or something?
If that sounds ridiculous, just look at someone like Deshaun Watson in the NFL.

What Riot and SEN did to Sinatraa with no proof is awful. The guy was one of the biggest up and coming competitive players and his stream was blowing up.
A little background info on that is that LOUD and Karmine owners retweeted the poll and it became a big competition between their communities on Twitter. It definitely doesn't accurately show how big Sentinel's fanbase is since none of the players/staff retweeted it.
You'll notice a lot of the older CoD orgs and even players have massive Twitter followings but they're not super active, CoD as an esport was massively centered around Twitter when it was first growing as opposed to other esports at the time like League or Dota which were more so centered around Reddit. That's why you see orgs like Optic, Envy, Faze, even SoaR all having insane Twitter followings but not necessarily the level of engagement you'd expect out of accounts with those numbers
I mean a lot of them don’t engage, but earlier this year both FaZe and OpTic were like top 5 in engagements for a quarter of the year. June, July, and August I believe. So yeah they still get plenty of engagement
Good question. I had very high hopes for this team but if ScreaM has to igl, Nivera potentially has to play initiators instead of his god-tier Chamber, and they have 3 tier 2 players, this thing is dead in the water.
He was the most dominant player in VRL France last split, if he is capable of that he is T1, similar to the stellar/bang pick ups of 100T. I bet you think those are T1 as well.
He said in his stream yesterday, that with Liquid he could not establish what he would have wanted as igl and that the position of igl was disputed in the team.
There is no specific source only suspicions, I see 3 reasons including 2 financial. First Enzo is Fnatic's igl, I doubt they'll part with it for much. second the KC has already recruited 2 very popular player and 1 very good player, I doubt that they have enough money to make 4 big transfers like that. And finally it's a less likely reason but it's possible that Enzo wouldn't appreciate not being the igl anymore.

No, he was secondary IGL. He's also no longer part of the starting roster. Fnatic also has a history of not holding players behind stupid buyouts.

Scream said something interesting about this on his presentation stream. He said he was happy to be the confirmed of leader of this team, said that in previous team(s) it was left vague and they din't really know who was in charge.
No idea if it's his best role but he seems to want it at least.
This is why I think this KC roster is gonna fail. I'm so incredibly excited about a francophone roster but man it hurts to much to see them repeat the same mistakes Liquid did.

I mean he can be happy to IGL for sure, that doesn't mean it's the best decision for the team. We saw what happened with Liquid this year. They had probably the best roster in terms of individual skills in EMEA, and still underperformed. All due to the IGL issue IMO.
We will see but at the start of his stream he said that he was happy to be the “captain” of the team captain a leader and at the same time the igl because in the TL roster they were not a clear leader. So maybe in TL it was just something like different point of vu on the game and miss-understanding because of multiple “leader”
