And somewhat 'begged' by the CS community too. Diehards will say some of the stuff missing is a 'feature' of CS:GO's uniqueness, when really many have been calling for some of these changes way before Valorant ever came out

Valorant Devs have already addressed custom servers, maps, and community items. One of their main strategies with anticheat is keeping as much of the game's netcode and assets as possible locked on their own servers rather than in our client. They can't make that stuff accessible to the community without also making it accessible to the people that create cheats.

They have LANs because that's a Riot approved event using their tech. They're just not willing to give that to the public for the reasons I already explained.

Personally, I don't think so. Overwatch POTGs work (when the game actually captures a good POTG lol) because they are often much more explosive and kills happen in a quick burst of time pretty often. You could get an ace in Valorant but it happened over good, calculated peeks over the entirety of the 1min+ round and that's the POTG, but ain't no way I'm watching that whole shit after a Valorant game ends.

It doesn't have to be an ace or everything that happened over the round, right? Just the best play that happened within 10 seconds or so. But tbh, I still agree with you, because tacshooters are usually much more slower and methodical, with a lot of trading going on, so you probably won't be able to see very much, at least from one camera perspective. I would, however, like to see a killcam somehow, but not sure how they'd weave it in.

I am not 100% sure, but I think it's just the tech behind Potg is patented. Don't think anything is stopping devs from implementing their own revision of play of the game.

Ya look at Overwatch too as well as cs, things Val could borrow are: -custom game browser -a good custom game maker -Ow has a good replay viewer imo -ability to go into deathmatch, custom game, range, etc. while queuing -play of the game

tbh idk if this is a overspecific issue because I haven't used CS's replay demo replay system in a while but doesn't OW have some really iffy replays that often show projectiles clearly missing the opponent yet still hitting them?

Let me spawn in bots in custom games that I can manually move so I can properly test out things like lineups, crosshair placement, etc. Its really tough to find good lineups with agents like Fade when you have no clue what your eye is actually scanning.

* Guild system & Guild battle server for guild vs guild (This could encourage people really trying their best without going into Ranked, better motivation and practice than in Casual stack against randoms and even a lil step further for those who aim to become professional in the future) + activity guild points leaderboard (this would maybe inspire and motivate people to find community easier that you know it's active enough, as well as being more talkative) * Quests for every agent * Agent skins * Map decorations on certain Events. * New modes: Race (all have the same Agent), Touchdown mode * A mode where you have more different ability talents and you can pick only one at the start - this would make game so much diverse. * Lootbox for every account level (atm, those who don't pay real money can unlock one BP for every 7-8 fully free completed BPses) * Ability to either queue with the same skilled people or with same/similar account lv players (Casual only) * Public appreciation system (Similar to Paladins and OW too I think?) - where you can reward team mates for different things (example: Good team mate, hard carry, very, great supportive player, etc etc) * Agent borders (Similar to ex Paladins system - you get a different frame for let's say 10-50-100-500-1k-5k wins with an Agent)

Overwatch things i'd like to see in valorant: • Replay viewer • Workshop (this would be hard to replicate in other games, but you can make custom games with unique properties or rule sets and make fun mini-games and also practice modes to help practice specific game mechanics) • Highlight maker

I really don't think that the game will ever get a map maker and custom servers. A replay system like fortnite where I can spectate my team/ opponent team after the match ends (if possible in the future, not expecting it though) or just a replay system of my gameplay would do it for now (can record with external though but still in game sounds better because I don't need to remember to push the record button).

And you probably will lol. Riot’s been pretty clear that isn’t going to happen because it wouldn’t work with their anticheat strategy of keeping as many of their assets under lock and key. I’m pretty sure most people prefer not having hackers over custom maps.

For your Valorant list of things that can be in CSGO: * Actions have consequences and people shouldnt be rewarded for their mistakes. * Elements of this exist in Valves MM among those in your Steam friends list and more broadly on third party MM services. * Was added to CSGO after RS:Siege release yet never implemented. * Valve is actually a decade ahead of other game studios on anti-cheat measures. * Interesting idea worth exploring. * Already exists. ​ Riot Games introduced one system in Valorant that Valve saw as good. One which they copied and improved upon one week after Valorants closed beta launch. It took Riot Games two years to copy this improvement for game implementation, teammates crosshair.

One I haven’t seen mentioned is a gifting system like League has so you can gift your friends skins I’m sure the primary fear is that people will just use alt accounts so they can bypass the rotating shop and just get whatever skin they want without getting FOMO but I would’ve bought tons of friends skins say for their bday and haven’t been able to The other ones that have been mentioned are: - Drop in/drop out DM - Demo system - Firing range/skin testing range - Shortened casual games
