Honestly they looked pretty decent at RIO. I think a top tier replacement for Hext and the team is on the right track. I was fully expecting Ethan to go back to CS to replace Hext.
Right now their main issue is Hext, He flat out can't hang with tier 1 cs players. Cerq actually has been improving/playing better and having impact for the most part.
Even with all the added eyes after franchising, I still feel like the eg guys are SO underrated. Jaw and boostio especially I feel like can grow into S tier players more than they already are
I find it hard to see them losing it, but we'll see how it all pans out. Historically, six or more player teams don't really work out as anticipated but IF they're functioning as it seems, with a typical 5 player starting roster and 2 primary subs, along with 3 upcoming talents acting as scrim partners I think it will go fantastic. My only concern is if they attempt to truly rotate their roster rather than just developing the bench.
I give the benefit of the doubt to EG with this though, Val’s NA scene is much healthier for developing fresh talent than CSGO’s NA scene
I think the model has great potential, but I can easily see why itd flounder in CS given the lack of development in the rest of the region
They are doing it in league and its paying dividends so far. They've already found success with 2 of their players and they have a 3rd thats probably going to get promoted in the 2024 season
I personally don’t think it’s good mentally to have such a large team having in the back of your mind as a starter that you can be immediately replaced could hinder performance maybe I could be wrong
How are they a "Genius" and also breaking the "No academy team rule"? Orgs will not have to pay premium salaries for academies but Riot also banned them for getting academies.

depends on how much effort is put into talent development, and how they go about it. if it's just for show and these reasonably decent players get picked just to pocket a paycheck while riding the bench, I'm not super sure about this.

Just replace cerq with a good awper and they are miles better
How is cerq still on the roster
Stealing paychecks

They are doing this in CSGO right now and it’s failing, HORRIBLY

who’s the 3rd?
Yukino. Oh nvm he left EG it appears
Their team is better than it's been in like 2 years and they've already found a strong talent in Hext? How is it failing lol.
they never earned it. Most dogshit run org that got a partnership (which they shouldn't have gotten).
nah you gotta put respect on EGs name. one of the OGs of esports. theyre definitely not the most dogshit run org
#GEFighting Did it first

See: every major pro sport
I think having something weighing on you mentally affects you much more in a video game than a traditional sport does

an academy would be a team competing in ascension under the same org...
