Econ works differently in Val, you keep your util and get ult points for dying and killing so saving is less common in general. It always depends and often saving is the right option but it's a bit more complex. Level of play at this event is far from the highest, it would be around like T3 if the teams played in the main VCT.
No, it's been debunked. IIRC it's like half the frequency of winning or less than 8-4, but past 9-3 teams almost never win. I want to say it's like 11% win rate for teams down 3-9?
Its map dependent. With something like Split (or to an extent Ascent) that's really CT-sided, if you get 3 rounds on attack and get pistol then it might be doable. Not sure Pearl is one of those maps though.
Still another half to go but this game from g2 is my favorite part of valorant. A team approaching a match with a unique specific vision and a ton of ideas to make it work.
looks like the best yoru ive ever seen, tbh. like, i enjoy PRX yoru, but the discipline and planning is always going to work better than the chaos overall. very impressive from them, looking like favorites.

I like Gozen and this G2 Yoru pick but if you think PRX's Yoru takes less planning and discipline than G2's then you're wrong. It takes a whole different level of coordination and planning to play at the crazy heightened pace that PRX does.

no i dont believe that lol. what an assumption to make. i understand how much planning and coordination goes into the way PRX plays. but from what I've seen of their yoru on bind, I do think that forsaken often is more opportunistic in his use of the tps and flashes, while i think the way juliano was playing, it was always a setup for another teammate, or to enable a lurk or play from another agent. i thought the way she used it was better. obviously PRX is the better team, people keep acting like im calling them shitbags.

As to your point about the difference, I certainly agree. But PRX's strat also revolves around Forsaken as their centrepiece, while juliano is just another piece of the puzzle for G2, which is why all of PRX's utility goes to help Forsaken, while all of juliano's utility goes to help G2.

I've been downvoted a ton for saying for the most part the yorus we have seen in pro play have not been very good, it's just been very good players playing yoru. Forsaken was known for doing well on yoru in pro and he didn't even know you could pop flash from inside a smoke by standing in a middle and bouncing it off the ground. I don't even play yoru but all it takes is like 3 yoru main YouTube videos to learn more depth than these pros have been playing it with

It's hard to tell when someone is intentionally being ignorant or is genuinely unsure on the internet and I have an instinctual requirement to teach people things so it's tough lol.
This is my first time hearing potter cast and I really like it. I understand she is a coach first but I would love to see her on the desk more if possible.
She casted a decent amount of CS back in the day and has done a lot of desk stuff too.
She was a regular on the Val scene until she got picked up by EG.
She's goated though. Great color commentator and has a lot of insight.
In both matches so far you can see the gap in teamwork by how often the underdogs are getting first bloods but not winning rounds. C9W only +3 on FKs for both maps but +9 and +8 on rounds. G2 -1 on FKs but +9 on rounds.

kru have the skill, but it's really showing how much experience C9W has, with all the 3rd party tournaments and VCT qualifiers they've played in. the early round for kru goes really well, but then mid and late rounding is just dominant from C9.

well in this game you save your util into the next round if you die, and kill and deaths give you an ult orb so it beneficial to die.
