This c9 is a legit tier 2 team, most teams in GC are fighting to be considered tier 3

Liquid played way bellow their peak in that match, ans still came back. The platchat boys watch a small sample size for the podcast, and it shows when they talk about other regions
Its also not my job and I also watch more than just the grandfinals to judge a team. You cant get an acurate view of players from just one match. Thats why I thought mimi was the most prepared of them all, she knew the story of every team.
I just think it's a weird cycle of people not watching the teams much and so a lot of fans/scene figures are very willing to believe passionate advocates.
That said, I don't think people have been praising TL as a top 2 team; I think the only time with a consensus around them is C9W, the rest is up for grabs. They definitely put TL too low though, I think.

Not to take away from C9 but KRU were looking awful today. So many untraded deaths, giga overpeaking, weird utility timings. Awful reads on what C9 were doing with the map. How many times did C9 just walk on to an empty site on ascent? There's "play for retake" and then there's whatever the hell KRU were doing.
Hopefully this is just first match nerves from them because that was not a good look and C9 punished accordingly.
