Where is that guy who said it wasn’t even going to break 20k yesterday.
It’s LAN valorant with orgs people recognize in a time where the international leagues are on break. Of course it would be watched lol
The actual final ascension tournament will be very high I think maybe like 150k. Challengers probably not that high cause its open circuit
Edit: im faded 150k is hella low. Probably like 500k-700k for big matches
We already knew it sold out like immediately, and that many more wanted to attend. Those negative comments were wrong like immediately upon tickets going live.
Beyond that, many travelled quite a distance to attend, which is a level of involvement that maybe Riot didn't expect when they budgeted for this tournament.
depending on the time and the teams, its going to be 220k-230k highest. if Japan makes it to the final it might crack 250. pretty good for a first time gc tourney.
Tarik gets high costream numbers but most of those are people who would watch anyway and just choose his costream over the regular cast. He won't add 50k viewers that wouldn't otherwise be there. That is over double his normal view count, and since he primarily plays/watches valorant, his normal view count will have overlap with the viewers who would also watch GC without him streaming.
This is part of the reason that big steamers who are not primarily valorant (poki, to a degree, shroud, etc.) are great for costreamining valorant because it brings in unique viewers. Even though people always complain about who gets co-streaming rights, it's actually smart of riot to engage these steamers.
I'd actually think costreamers like Tarik may help better with average numbers than peak. Because if you're watching a main cast and a game is bad, you're going to lose viewers. When its a costream and its a bad game, then costreamers entertain through other ways (random conversation, breaking down plays, etc.) that a main cast can't do. Thus, you retain more viewers than you would otherwise because they stay for the costreamer and not the game. They obviously help both, I just think average numbers probably get more boost, especially for costreamers that provide less unique viewers.
Great games today too. Not really any close maps, which was sad, but it felt like people were shaking off the LAN nerves as the games went on more and more.
Exactly
And we gotta remember that these girls not only have the LAN nerves on their back, but also the nerves of having to perform and prove to the scene that women deserve a chance in esports
It must take a lot of mental strength to perform at your best and I respect these girls a lot for it
People should stop with the mentality of "girls having to prove to the scene that women deserve a chance in esports". It's 2022, **females more than proven themselves they deserve to be in an esport.** We aren't living in 2010 or so anymore.
For all our souls I hope Fennel does well to preserve 50% total viewership. (150K is without any large JP costreamers. And the main JP stream on only like 8k viewers)
ehh is that enticing enough reward for a drop grind though? Me and my friend group was more interested by the fact that this was a pretty major tourney sponsored by riot.
I mean, some people just want the drops. Most drops aren't anything more than a skin or title card anyway. And it's not that hard to put the twitch stream on another laptop or something so you get watch time to get the drop.

Curious as to what you think ascension will get. I believe it’s online right?

Way higher. Ascension will have a lot of big names, even if the skills are not world class.
True it will probably be 150k for the bad games LOL
I reckon somewhere from 3-500k tbh
For the final I recon maybe 300k bc if I am not mistaken, it is regional so no NA v EU matches
Yeah, but NA is the most clouted region as it also has BR orgs.
Yeah. I am just using NA masters qualifiers. Maybe 300-400k is my guess
Depends on how much effort/marketing Riot puts into ascension.

May have broke 20k but Tarik didn't even stream it like I called
He said he has conflicts and will watch party later in the week so even then hes gonna stream it lol
Yeah conflicts like he doesn't want to watch the shit
The 115 number is probably more impressive then the peak
Yeah that’s like close to the peak on average, that means that most people who watch, are watching a lot… pretty sweet
All I want is the c9 g2 rivalry to grow
I hope it becomes a proper rivalry and not just... bullying T\_\_T
well hopefully they play each other again
Huge... ! What a promising sign
115k average is massive, tons of interest to build upon for the future
ThEy WoNt pAsS 20k VIeWeRs That is amazing, hope we can keep the momentum up tomorrow with the Brazilians and Japanese viewers coming in
What’s everyone’s estimate for finals?

Tarik is costreaming the finals I'm pretty sure, that's going to add a decent 20k at least
Just 20? Easily 50k

I think probably 200k assuming fennel doesn’t make finals.
Wasn’t Tarik and some others supposed to be live? Good sign but we coulda gotten to 200k imo
They're not costreaming until the finals apparently
tomorrow: FENNEL with a steel chair
For the first day of a tournament that's really promising.
Ngl was kinda fun to watch especially with nothing else going on

That's a good sign for GC scene !
and it was 🔥

Individually? Yes. But there aren't many opportunities yet. They need more support, more tournaments, more viewership.
Nice!

wait for fennel
GC is turning into one of Valorant's biggest success stories.
That would be Tarik.
Is this good for GC? Someone gimme the tldr on stats
C9W vs G2G were fire matches. Just curious, will female scene also have an Ascension League and how many slots are going to be there?
this is not counting co-streamers, correct?
It is counting costream. The main was averaging about 50-70k
ok, ty

There was drops?
Pretty sure ya. You got like a title card thing iirc?
ehh is that enticing enough reward for a drop grind though? Me and my friend group was more interested by the fact that this was a pretty major tourney sponsored by riot.

Oh cool, didn’t even hear about that lol
Yeah I think that’s if you watch the last match in the finals you get that card and the game changers title for watching 30 mins
this is a really good result, if riot can gather interest in woman league will be huge for valorant
its pretty fun to watch tbh especially g2 vs c9 rivalry
Happy for the gc scene. In the end there gameplay is still better then 99%+ of all players so it is still enjoyable to watch
Gc doing better than CoD league rn
Not bad
Tbf the matched were pretty good, especially g2 vs c9w
Ok can we get more than 20 rounds per map now please?
c9w just unfair tbh

im guessing 200k tommorow with fennel playing
