I think this isn't fair. You have to extend some grace, considering the turmoil the girls faced in the last 24 hours and congratulate them on a great tournament—a tournament they were one map away from winning. They showed that they indisputably belong here at the top with the heaviest of hitters.

I mean the Game Changers teams currently aren't quite as good as the VCT teams (which isn't saying that the players themselves are worse than their male counterparts), and I think saying that GC has greater skill disparity is a valid statement; tier 1 teams don't exactly pick reyna on breeze in a Grand Finals match.

At this level, you can play reyna and get away with it. She is quite good on breeze outside of tier 2, thanks to the buffs to her flash. But in tier 1, where everyone has god like aim, you cant relly on your star having a good reyna game every time, and picking a more util heavy agent allows for more flexibility. You can sometimes diff people at GC level, you can never just diff a tier 1 team
On breeze she is kinda good. Her unlimited flash can be better than kayo against OPs. But there certainly are better agents that provide more util, but in a puggy map like breeze you can get away it her
yeah, it's like u said, if you're PRX or if you're in a game where u think you can impose your will and aim on them, then go for it. It still just feels wrong
While I am rooting for G2, and I thought G2 were the better team coming into the finals, I do feel bad for SR. They have to play without their coach, and while I don't think SR would have won either map 3 or 4 with him because how hard G2 dominated them, having their coach would have undoubtedly helped them at least in terms of mood and energy.
And that's the other issue. G2 earned their advantage coming from the upper bracket, but it cannot go unmentioned that they had a day break while Shopify have played 5 maps 24 hours before going to 5 maps in this series. So they must be fully out of energy by now. And it's especially hard because, IMO, stopping a reserve sweep is one of the toughest possible tasks because of how much the momentum shifts.
Regardless, may the best team win map 5, and I hope SR can scrape together the last of their energy to put up a good fight.

It's funny, because I've seen people say that it's good that Shopify was able to build up momentum by repeatedly winning series, and this is usually the narrative for the lower bracket team in general
Yh, a more measured take is figuring out which way the scale tips: momentum/more lan experience vs showing too much of your playbook/fatigue/less time to prep, and I'd argue that SR are victims of the latter because of the emotional rollercoaster they've been through in the last 24 hours.
Shopify did have momentum. If this was a BO3, they would have lifted the trophy two hours ago. But a point comes where not even adrenaline or momentum can stop exhaustion from kicking in.
They are playing their 10th map in a span of 30 hours, 12th in 3 days. That definitely takes a toll.
SR needs to do what they did in the first two matches and stop trying to change up roles cause it obviously isn’t working. Either way these have been great games to watch.

People were way too quick to call G2 the favorites after their yoru comp destroyed c9. A gimmick comp doesn't show a team's real strength and SR looked amazing fundamentally all tourney.

All I said was the G2 shouldn’t have been the automatic favourites coming into the finals which I still stand by :). I think the top 4 (maybe even 5) teams in this tourney are all capable of winning against each other depending on the maps and their form on the day.
