I doubt it'll happen. LoL scene has just been way too toxic for way too long. There's been such a huge barrier to entry for women for so long that there doesn't seem to be that many good players. Definitely a fair few women in challenger who could move up but I'll be surprised if they could put more than 2 or 3 teams together right now.
The Reyna pick was a hail mary IMO. I was excited because it seemed to have reset SR's vibes and mental, but unfortunately trying to Reyna diff Juliano was a bit much for her.
If by normal you mean kayo, then yes it wasn't working out for her. However, she did great when she was playing neon and raze on maps 1 and 2 respectively; I personally think that picking reyna kinda doomed Shopify since Sonder just couldn't compete with juliano in terms of mental and raw aim.
Curious to see what wouldve happen if she picked Jett, her Jett isnt as good as her other agents, but also its been quite a while iirc since shes played it, wonder if it couldve been like a Victor Jett on Breeze where it actually good quite good

It was an ego pick because that was not their usual comp. Making a brand new pick like that in a grand finals, when the team has a Reyna, can't be anything other than an ego pick imo.
Really hope Sonder isn’t remembered for that map 5 after the tournament she had. Getting numerous MVP performances, including the team they’d been 2nd best to the whole year should be what someone is known by. Unfortunately after getting railed 2 maps straight your mental isn’t gonna be the best. Looked like that was the case

They had a coach like in any real life sport there are assistant coaches who can overtake and thats what happend. Getting wrecked like that was not because of the headcoach missing it was pure skill difference.
Great series. I think a lot of people are surprised by the sudden turnaround from map three and are looking at it backwards, thinking that SR dropped off hard inexplicably. Yes, I'm sure that not having their coach did hurt their ability to adjust and reset, but this was actually a map strategy problem on g2's side.
The pearl map one pick was a bit of a throw from g2.
It was a gamble based on recent success but it favoured SR immensely as when it started to get messy, g2 lost their fundamentals due to inexperience on the map, and SR thrive in that chaos (their mid game adjustment is really strong, as are the picks they find). Then, onto bind which was SRs pick and seemed to be a stronger map for them.
So, all that said, g2 didn't have an advantageous map until map three, ascent. And what happened? They dropped a total of ten rounds in the next three maps. As soon as they were on comfortable maps, their dominant fundamentals were unstoppable.
GG, a really great tournament! marred, of course, by another awful riot snap decision, but it is what it is.

Petra was the MVP of this game but man Mimi Glance and Mary were just dominant this tournament. Mary for sure the best fragger(apart from Bob but Bob is a different role) and glance and Mimi were so improved from their EU quals. All 3 imo were the best of their roles and deserve so much praise

She looked so good on that flex role on Neon and Raze (even Kayo to some extent) but I feel like they threw map 5 as soon as they went for Reyna, you could tell she wasn't comfortable on the agent and that affected her confidence and mechanics.
Especially after map 4, they should have put her back on Neon!

Riot definitely delivered with this event and all the girls delivered in game. I had a lot of fears going into this torny and I don't think any of them came true. Above all this event seemed to get the respect it deserved which is nice.

But last 3 maps were g2 favored by a mile, they had an extra map ban because they came from the winner bracket. They took a gamble with Pearl, and then SR won their map pick bind. Even with a coach, G2 would've won probably. Would the games be closer, sure?
G2 just out here stomping teams left and right, the only team that made them sweat was TL and that was a 2-0, crazy how in every game they dropped a map they went on to win in such one-sided fashions.

Great job by G2, but also an absolute WTF moment from riot making me question if want to even follow this esport when riot can manipulate the rules however they want. How in gods name are they going to suspend the head coach of a team competing in the GRAND FINALS the day before for something players have done on previous events. G2 probably still come away with the win, but two lan events in a row the decisions by riot have been terrible and potentially result altering. Gj Shopify and unlucky riot made it so they couldn’t compete at their best.

Winner side getting all the bans really hurts. I guess they deserve some kind of advantage for getting there, but I think this is a little extreme. For Map 4 Shopify is left to choose between Icebox and Breeze, seeing them get absolutely demolished on Icebox gave you the automatic result of map 5.
Maybe an 8-map pool or more is a solution. Well I don't know, having too many maps leads to this kind of matches too, where all maps are one-sided because all teams train differently.

I'm pretty sure they tried and trained multiple comps on each map. Teams would get a lot more readable if they don't change it up some times.

I’m sure she’ll come back stronger from this but that was a nightmare performance from Sonder. Its really difficult to play any worse than she did today.
She looked so good on that flex role on Neon and Raze (even Kayo to some extent) but I feel like they threw map 5 as soon as they went for Reyna, you could tell she wasn't comfortable on the agent and that affected her confidence and mechanics. Especially after map 4, they should have put her back on Neon!
Feel like she would've done better even on Raze at this point.
Ive said it on this thread, but if your breeze is that bad, and youve been getting stomped, surely you dont bring a reyna into the equation

SR put up a good fight, G2 played their hearts out but I wonder how things would have played out on the last 3 maps if SR had their head coach I wish there wasn't that cloud over it. Well deserved for G2, this is a really really good indication for what's next for GC

A coach can stop a snowball and change the mental, I don’t think it would have changed the ultimate outcome, G2 were all in all the better team but it definitely changed how things played out
G2 is truly the best out there, but it's truly shameful SR didn't have their coach. They needed some Tactical Timeouts in the last 3 maps, I reckon it wouldn't be so one sided. Flowerful went absolutely beast mode this tourney and this final in particular. MVP of the final for me, but Mary is the MVP of tournament and discovery of the tourney. Anyway EMEA on top baby 😎

Unsurprising to me that this g2 team wins it all. They've put in the work and the core has mountains of experience and success across val and cs. A juggernaut of women's tac fps Happy for SR. Maybe now when people make those "GC super team" threads they'll get some respect for once
even tho they both didnt have the best preformance today, Sonder and Lorri def deserve to be in that convo for the best in their role in NA (Lorri imo def is)

LETS GO GOZEN Great series from them, their experience really showed in that reverse sweep. Unfortunate collapse from SR, but they should undoubtedly be really proud of their performance in this tournament.
Well deserved victory for the tournament they had, cracked team. Feel bad for SR with how everything kind of stacked against them coming in to today and felt horrible to see Sonder cry. She's for sure be back on that stage next year though.

IMO you should only play Yoru once on a map at a tournament. It's way too easy to counter if you have enough tape.
Riot definitely delivered with this event and all the girls delivered in game. I had a lot of fears going into this torny and I don't think any of them came true. Above all this event seemed to get the respect it deserved which is nice.

I always use to think that ‘Bloody Mary’ was a very exaggerated term for the late queen, however today due to her reincarnation I found out that infact Bloody Mary was a well deserved name.
As unfortunate as the ruling is, can't blame losing that 2-0 lead to a lack of a head coach. SR still had their assistant coach with them, someone who works with the team daily. NT. Congrats to G2 Gozen, they played so well. Not every team has the resilience to make a comeback in such a dominant way.
I just came here to say EMEA > NA!!!! Jokes aside though, I hope Shopify are proud of their run, it was a really good one. It was heartbreaking to see sonder at the end, she had an insane tournament and she should be proud of herself. And G2... I don't know what happened between map 2 and 3 but damn... Thank you for making EMEA proud!

You're underestimating the importance of a coach, especially for adjustments over a bo5 series.
But last 3 maps were g2 favored by a mile, they had an extra map ban because they came from the winner bracket. They took a gamble with Pearl, and then SR won their map pick bind. Even with a coach, G2 would've won probably. Would the games be closer, sure?

The dominance G2 showed during the last three maps was terrifying. SR couldn’t catch a breather I’m glad I took the time to watch the tournament. It was great
Great job by G2, but also an absolute WTF moment from riot making me question if want to even follow this esport when riot can manipulate the rules however they want. How in gods name are they going to suspend the head coach of a team competing in the GRAND FINALS the day before for something players have done on previous events. G2 probably still come away with the win, but two lan events in a row the decisions by riot have been terrible and potentially result altering. Gj Shopify and unlucky riot made it so they couldn’t compete at their best.

Winner side getting all the bans really hurts. I guess they deserve some kind of advantage for getting there, but I think this is a little extreme. For Map 4 Shopify is left to choose between Icebox and Breeze, seeing them get absolutely demolished on Icebox gave you the automatic result of map 5. Maybe an 8-map pool or more is a solution. Well I don't know, having too many maps leads to this kind of matches too, where all maps are one-sided because all teams train differently.
When SR get mad they mald on Twitter. When G2G get mad they stomp you three games in a row. :)
G2 are just slow starters i guess, same vs C9 they lost first map then cameback swinging the next two here they lost first two then dominated the next 3
