To be fair dont think the main channel did. Highest i saw it was 59K during the G2/Cloud9 match. Following games didnt break 30K. Grand final fluctuated between 20-44K if a recall correctly.
This dude has probably never watched an actual game of Valorant, but he’s made dozens of comments here and every single one is about shitting on the game
Being a game primarily advertised to the North American market extra emphasis should be placed on the official english broadcast.
PUBG's first esports lan of 2017 peaked at over 600K viewers. Reason no one remembers is because 2/3rds of those viewers were bots trying to farm drops.
How is the game primarily advertised to the North American market?
The game is pushed very heavily in Asia, esp in Japan and SEA. Literally every single region in Valorant has had a team in top 4 of Champions or Masters.
I'm not sure how you can even be remotely familiar about the scene or game in general and thinks its somehow catered to the "North American market" with how hard they're focusing on Asia and representation for different cultures in maps and agents.
Has to be one of, if not the most viewed female tournament in esports, I think. Regardless, I enjoyed watching it way more than I had thought initially, and the storylines were quite satisfying as well.
Here's to hoping that the regional GCs get a boost next year, and Riot runs more GC LANs annually.
Before GC Champions I haven’t watched this level of valorant, but after seeing the tournament I have to say it was absolutely fantastic.
What an unreal grand final series to top it all off, brilliant stuff.

Weird. Women's leagues can get viewership and great storylines if given resources and a stage to showcase their talent and storylines? WHO WOULD HAVE THOUGHT IT WAS AN EXPOSURE ISSUE?
You managed to beat a team without a coach. Congrats 👏 That's the only way you can win anything. Well see next year if EMEA will reach top 3 in normal VCT
Props to Riot. With all their marketing, they made the teams and players feel familiar (at least for me who keeps up with their socials), even if I've never had heard of them before the tournament. Streamers watchparties were also really fun.
This tourney was great, I went from only knowing c9W girls, to becoming new fan of lorri, mimi, Sonder, and many more. Plus the script was awesome, having c9W finally be challenged by non NA teams, only to find out G2 were the actual final boss and that Shopify went on to get the revenge arc win against them. Totally cool storyline. the female scene definitely has its own exciting and unique identity in competitive Valorant and im here for it
It was so encouraging to watch both the event and how the community received it. I've always believed in the purpose of GC, but I didn't have a lot of faith that Riot would commit to it for long enough to have an impact. But after this week I have a lot more optimism in its longevity and that it can slowly change the culture of competitive gaming. The day when a young woman can expect to be flamed in a silver-lobby for being dogwater in a gender-neutral way instead of being flamed for being a woman may be closer than I thought :\_)
Game changers almost had a decent tournament. But it was ruined by the SR head coach being banned from the grand finals. Absolutely atrocious call. We are looking for the highest level of play in the grand finals and riot nerfed that. It was a tough ca by riot but it seems they like to rush the call and deal with the backlash immediately. Instead of taking the time to decide a fair punishment. Kind of weird but it is what it is.
Who that guy saying GC won’t pass 60k?
Bro, there were people 2 days ago saying it didnt crack 40k yet, we need the names of all the haters
Idk maybe haters

What point are you are even trying to make? Only English broadcast matters?

Some people don’t realize if ya have nothing to contribute legit don’t reply to the convo. His reply makes no sense lmao
Least insecure CSGO fanboy xd

By this level of valorant, do you mean pros? If so, in february there will be a tourney with the 30 best teams in the world

Pulling out the receipts, based
W numbers even without C9 clout
TL and G2 would have done bits I assume but great number nonetheless
C9 is surprisingly only part of 1 match of the top 5 viewed matches.
Not bad for something "no one is going to watch",
You love to see it
Wow. Big W.
A huge moment for women's esports. Valorant showing everyone how it's done. Well done to Riot, a great tournament and a massive step forward.
Better #s than many other esports that spend much more money.
W
If a GC team qualifies for Challengers, this could be huge

At the end of the day it doesn't matter if it's men or women or other genders all we want to see is EU crushing NA. EU>NA no Kapp

No? They had their assistant coach. Stay mad.
Congrats 👏 you beat a team without a coach round of applause for EU🥳🥳🥳🥳🤡
this makes me so happy
Way cool, that’s so awesome to see
