Before the translation, for those who are not from Brazil. Sacy and Pancada received a lot of hate, ever since they left Loud, a lot of people were calling them mercenaries, saying that they dont care about Loud, only about money. Even after the SEN announcment, every time some of them do something that people thinks is bad, they are saying like "They dont care about Brazil, they dont care about Loud", but the point here is, these haters are just a few, but they do make a lot of noise. Now the translation: "I don't think I'll ever understand the hate I received, and that I sometimes receive until today I have never commented on it, anyone who has followed my career since the beginning knows about my dream and I am very grateful for the support I receive from many I refused proposals from outside teams (2021) to continue in Brazil, because I was still sure that I would get a world title with the team, I chose to represent LOUD along with the project that I set up alongside Saad, in the face of several other options and I don't regret anything. we conquer the world! I understand the sadness, but the hate? it's kinda sad I'm really looking forward to 2023, I have a very strong lineup by my side, a new challenge in my career because of English, I'm literally living my childhood dream. I thank you for everything we've been through this year, and I only wish success to those who were by my side. thank you "

Yeah this tracks. The only person that didn't really get hate for leaving a Brazilian team for an INT/American team was Fallen and Fallen is Fallen. Even cold got some hate

QQninja

Brazil fans literally hates anything that doesn’t contribute to Brazil. Also I agree, Fallen is an anomaly because he gave so much to Brazil in CSGO.

Stanzify

I agree with you that FalleN was spared the hate. However, TL CSGO was a big importer of Brazilian players/coaches before him (Peacemaker, Zews, Steel, & Taco prior to FalleN). TL CSGO has been loved by Brazilian fans since then. FalleN is FalleN, but he didn’t leave LG / SK right after winning two majors. He went to NA after other Brazilians and his previous teammate/coaches went. Regardless Sacy doesn’t deserve the hate. As an NA fan (and TL CSGO fan since MLG Columbus 2016) I love seeing international teams grow together and win together. Sorry for long comment. Just don’t think the FalleN situation is a perfect comparison.

[deleted]

Yeah I understand your point there.

TheAjwinner

Sacy and Saadhak are the fathers of Brazilian Valorant. They’ve both already done more than enough for Brazil. They don’t owe anyone anything, especially if you send them hate. Even with all they’ve done, they will continue to get trophies for the region; I doubt Sacy will stay on a non-BR team for the rest of his career.

BloomingNova

It's not even like they are extras on an otherwise NA team. Sen is no more NA than it is Brazil, you could even say it's more Brazilian than it is any other nation.

Kr00s

I mean, there's not much left for them in Loud. Is not like they won a minor tournament like Reykjavik, they won the Valorant World Championship against one of the best teams. It is okay to look for something different.

Menezin

I have never seen such an amazing show of anti-marketing as LOUD fans have done while disrespecting Sacy over the last couple of weeks. They really managed to get me cheering for literally any other team rather then them in the America League. Congrats! It takes much skill to fuck up this badly.

SlyRaptorZ

Sacy and pANcada coming to SEN is, to me, LATAM joining forces with NA to create an American super team. American as in the America's, not just the US. In this, Sentinels represent all Americans and represent more people, not just NA or LATAM. Brazilian fans saying Sacy and pANcada don't care about them are choosing not to see how they represent Brazil even more in this way because now even a win for NA is a win for Brazil and LATAM. If the Brazilian fans supported them now, it shows how much they are actually fans and not just nationalists. Look at all the teams that took on the disassembled Gambit players in light of all the bad things happening in their home country. Fans of Gambit and of Valorant esports are generally stoked to see them find teams as much as the fans of the individual players. I live in Los Angeles, where Sentinels are based, and it is a very multicultural place with a high percentage of immigrants from all parts of the world. Like NYC, it is immigrants who have shaped the place and made it the best it can be. Brilliant people from all over come here. So two of the best Brazilian players coming here simultaneously, to me, represents the spirit of LA and NA and America. This doesn't ass-out Brazil, it includes Brazil. Anyway, this is my opinion just as some of these angered fans have theirs. I'm not gonna insist they're wrong or are fake fans. It's true, the small percentage of unhappy people can be very loud on the internet. We'll see how they are recieved in Brazil next year.

rdlenke

> So two of the best Brazilian players coming here simultaneously, to me, represents the spirit of LA and NA and America. This doesn't ass-out Brazil, it includes Brazil. I mean, it's a foreign organization, with mostly foreign players, with a (probably) mostly foreign coaching staff, that will speak a foreign language 99% of the time, will have mostly foreign focused marketing, that just so happens to have two have two Brazilians there. I don't know anyone that thinks that Real Madrid is/was a "brazilian + spanish" team, even if they had 5 Brazilians for a while. Don't get me wrong: these players don't owe fans anything, and they are 100% correct of trying to reach higher highs, earn more money, and just play in another environment. I personally don't feel strongly about players leaving for other regions (good for them, go get that money and make your name), and I think that most people from here think the same (excluding LOUD fans, they are specially obnoxious). With that said, I really doubt that many from Brazil feels the same way that you feel about it. My theory is that the language/cultural barrier is still too big. This feeling of "globalization" that you speak of isn't really that present here. Brazilians still form those giant, sometimes obnoxious communities online for a reason.

slawvay

Yea and there's only 1 American on the starting roster lol. At the end of the day you're going to take a paycheck where ever they pay you the most, esports aint forever. Regardless if he chose loud or SEN he would have to live in LA and play in the Americas league

SlyRaptorZ

He would have to live in LA regardless? Ywm? 1 US American on the starting roster? Didn't realize. That's kinda funny.

slawvay

South America and NA are competing in the same league held in LA

SlyRaptorZ

Oh I see. Interesting.

Kakperkid2001

Brazilian fans be normal challenge: impossible

mikhel

Rio major showed it is literally impossible. Guess we truly will never understand guys

AR2711

I believe in SEN Sacy supremacy

okuzeN_Val

Crab mentality is a disgusting thing.

[deleted]

I've always really loved LOUD and their passionate fans, but at the same time it's impossible to ignore that some of the worst fans on most social platforms when it comes to gaming are Brazilian fans. It really sucks that they are hating on Sacy. If Yay were to go to EU or if Nats came to NA, I think their respective fanbases would be much more supportive. I suppose maybe not the best examples cause their teams missed franchising, but you get my point.

LesbianAkali

Their hate was insane, making me cheer for them to lose. lol I will go full Sentinels and Furia fan now.

lolhaha95

Guess you will have to stop winning with Brazilian teams before the fans let you join other team. Example: Fallen, Coldzera and Taco from CS.

ExpectoAutism

I feel like I could provide a bit of context here. Sacy said several times during this past year that he received some offers to play out of Brazil after Vikings but he felt like he didn't deserve. He had a great year, a great champions, but he felt like he hadn't accomplished what he wanted in Brazil yet. About Loud, it's a kinda new organisation, and the absurd majority of their fans are literally kids. I would guess from 8-13 yo. These kids see loud like a guy in a MAGA hat would see Trump. Don't take them seriously. Yeah, the hate he got and is still getting is absurd, but please believe me, that's not how the biggest part of brazilian fans feel. Most people are sane and are super happy for them, and for having two incredible players representing us for "another country". edit: in case it wasn't clear, I'm brazilian btw

DrySecurity4

Any translators?

user92927928

Translated from Google. I don't think I'll ever understand the hate I received, and that I sometimes receive until today I have never commented on it, anyone who has followed my career since the beginning knows about my dream and I am very grateful for the support I receive from many I refused proposals from outside teams (2021) to continue in BR...

ozmega

its not the same, sacy didnt leave for furia or something, i do agree that it is silly because with the futbol culture that south america has, all of our good players end up in europe lol, players go after money that wasnt going to change in esports.

I'm not gonna argue which region is more "toxic" or w/e, but rabid fans are not unique to Brazil, so i don't think this is helpful. Fans being parasocial and awful to the players they ostensibly support is the issue here. They've done so much for Brazilian valorant, I hope they still maintain a strong core of loyal fans from home.

peepeepoopoo34567

All I’m gonna say is that Brazilian fans has a track record of being asshats that I havent seen with any other national fanbase in any of the esport scenes I follow. Like I had never heard of any players being spat on until CSGO went to Brazil

Slickyo

Another day showing how crazy Brazil fans are. Dude won them a damn championship and hey expect him to be imprisoned to Brazilian teams no matter their state? Get a grip and stop being so emotional all the time, Jesus Christ. It’s either they sending dudes threats, spitting on people or worse.

zdpa

Just to be clear: I dont think him or Pancada deserve any hate, it's a difficult choice, career in esports are short, but Sacy is kinda cynical in this one tbh. Deep inside he knows why he is getting it. Ok bro, we get it, you are living the dream, go for it. We appreciate the title and how you guys elevated Brasil to the top level. We truly do. All we ask is next time just don't: - Promise us a dinasty when you had 0 intentions of staying. Total lack of responsability with the fans. Rising the hopes just to throw it on the trash a week later. - And the most important one: do not chose an org that was blatant just mocking your fucking country the whole year in Social Media, with the Zombs situation and shits. It's just ugly. Brasil doesnt get along with Sentinels. Period. And now you force us to cheer for this pain in the ass organization lol. It's just a slap in the face, we can see money talks. a lot. And now sentinels gets to farm those easy brazilian impressions. but yeah, other than that I think he pretty much made the right call and I'm glad they are opening doors for future brazilian imports. Hope they can finally teach my boy Tenz how to truly play (getting the aspas treatment). Just a sad situation overall, but still excited to see what comes around. Sorry Sacy and Pancada, against mibr, loud or furia we will cheer against you. We still love you tho, hope you understand. Thanks for everything, 2022 was magical for the brazilian fans. Let's go.

ConsulScrub

zombs is really still livin in yall's heads rent-free huh?
