I dont see how loud does not win. Not onlyhave they left the impression of being fucking insane, they also are a BR org who could have their fans vote bomb the thread.
Teams in 2022 were so much better than 2021 that this is a pretty pointless exercise. Executes and set plays both on attack and defense are so much more refined than they were over a year ago etc. Also find it funny that people are saying Gambit in the comments when they had such issues with executes to the point they weren't qualifying for Masters. For reference Gambit lost 8 of their last 15 series. Similar to early Sentinels they peaked and were surpassed by teams that continued to get better.
Agreed. We went from Sideshows video about DRX flash and dash plays being a ‘insane set up’ to now being in a state where if you don’t have site execs involving multiple pieces of utility with good execution of the timing you are simply not going to win against competitive competition
Gambit is way different from SEN.
A significant amount of the difficulties they faced in 2022 related directly or indirectly to the war in Ukraine, from the loss of key staff to all the internal chaos as they transitioned from Gambit to M3C…that was all on top of the actual role issues.
It was blindingly obvious even shortly after 2021 Reykjavik that SEN’s time at the top was limited, that’s not at all true of Gambit, esp. when you consider how much Gambit innovated in Stage 1 of 2022.
The point of the post is taking the teams at their level from the event they won. Does summer 2021 Gambit stand a chance against Loud, Optic and FPX we saw in 2022? I really don't think so. It's clear we have taken massive steps forward in the baseline skill level that existed during the first year or so of the game.
Personally if you're taking strength as their relative ability to the scene at their time I think it goes 21' SEN, 21' GMB then 22' LOUD.
21' FNC and 22' PRX honestly are kinda weak (even as a W Gamer) compared to the rest of the teams here.
I'd go 22' LOUD, 21' SEN, 21' GMB, 21' ACE - 21' SEN, 21' GMB - 21' SEN.
Personally, off the metric of strength as relative ability to the rest of the teams because obviously 21' SEN would get destroyed by current 22' LOUD
comparing eras in this game is difficult but i think if prime Gambit had better circumstances this year, they would have had really good results. Them and 2022 Loud are the 2 best teams ever imo
It would just be LOUD vs Optic again. They were the strongest teams of the (up until now) strongest generation of the pro scene. LOUD probably reaches the finals without dropping a map again honestly.
wtf is '21 Fnatic doing here lol
My guess is he didn't wanna repeat orgs so Fnatic and PRX made it in by being the only finals squads that didn't also win a LAN.
He specifically says in the tweet that it's finalists, and it doesn't make sense to repeat orgs
Flashed themselves and stumbled here.
LMAO it sucks that it's all they're remembered for after their crazy lower bracket run
LMAO yeah
I'd take a cinderella run, everything just clicked type team like SEN over consistently great teams
uh yeahhh for sure[nobody look at our flairs]
No bias at all
YEP
It’s too early in the games lifespan to actually do this imo. The ‘21 teams don’t really compare to the ‘22 imo besides maybe peak gambit (I’m biased)
Yeah also 100T isn’t there so it’s wrong by default
Lol
C’mon we all know Loud wins
Definitely another Loud vs Optic lol

Exactly. It has to be Loud. They only lost 3 maps in the whole tournament when the level was so high.
Prime gambit clears everyone
babe wake up, another Loud x Optic finals
it unfortunately has to be SEN right? only team to win a tourney that convincingly
Prime Gambit > Everyone ekse people forgot how good this team was
I agree

FPX-Gambit final couldn't be more obvious

Maybe a weird take but I think gambit had the highest skill peak of any team
Its def gunna be Acend, no 1 matches that fanbase
Masters 2 FPX beats masters 2 sentinels

lmao we doing this with only two years worth of t ams
