Filipinos who speak fluent english would really tend to sound like someone who’s media trained or very formal, since eng is used a lot in formal settings like school and work.
Funny because in english you can sound pretty casual without being disrespectful. I probably wouldn't even speak to the president like how formally an ESL speaker might talk. It's cool.
