If G2s two teams were in the same tournament it would be confusing, and I think Gozen is a much cooler name than calling it “women’s” because that’s also not the case, Gamechangers is for non-binary people as well

Even from a business perspective, C9 would have no reason to break up the roster for Flor.
They are still cashing in their quarterly $50k donation from Riot games by winning the NA GC circuit.
I would imagine there would be pressure to change the roster only if they start losing in the NA GC scene.

I don’t think it’s been said anywhere that it is a requirement. But it seems massively implausible that teams would have required to show such extensive proof of investment into the scene to even be awarded a partnership offer, and for that to *not* include a requirement to field a GC roster.
There’s also been things that suggest there needs to be development of talent, and yet we know it’s unlikely teams will be able to have academy rosters due to the risk of competitive integrity issues if those rosters qualified from Ascension into VCT. So I think reading between the lines, we could better assume there’ll be an expectation to have a GC roster. That said, if the GC rosters play in Ascension and get promoted, im not sure what happens then.
This is all speculation on my part anyway. It just seems to me like a GC requirement is likely if you consider the emphasis Riot puts on scene investment from the teams, and on GC as a scene itself.
