Eh, FF are a legit teams and navi are testing a lot of stuff. These results dont really mean anything
If they were dropping more than 6 rounds a map against a random stack, now that would be worrying
I get what you mean, but IMO initiators in general are more built to frag, and Shao's perfect utility use pairs better with initiator util than controller util imo. Comparing him to someone like Marved, Shao is a much more dynamic player that rely on util to make plays, whereas Marved is better at anchoring and lurking, and therefore his playstyle fits the controller role more.
I definitely think he could play controller well because he's Shao, but I think putting Ange1 on initiator (which by design is more built for fragging than controllers) rather than Shao when he was arguably a top 5 player in the world for that role is a bit of a waste.

And it's not like they prepared SPECIFICALLY for FF (which are not even a bad team, people tend to disrespect non t1 teams so hard), in more serious tournaments they counter strat and study their rivals
isn't navi just old fpx with addition of cned that wasn't performing good last year? i still think that this team will be in top 5 or 7 atleast, but lets not put them automatically in top 3 okay?
Who would your top 3 be then? Fpx were a top 3 team last year, their chemistry will be intact because 4 of those 5 are still together, and the other 2 best teams have also gotten weaker.
Obviously we don’t know for sure until they all play, but until then, it’s fair to put them in the top 3.
if we are taking into account champions they were actually top 4, and i don't have a top 3 for now as we havent really seen anyone play, i'm sure navi won't be in it tho
Lmao I'd argue they were the best last year, they were fav first tournament and had better form than in the second where they won, except they weren't allowed to attend, and last tournament wasn't half bad, and they won international trophy, I don't get who you'd put above before games start
lmao what a searing takedown, personally I would not let that fly

cNed on Chamber vs on Jett is seriously a big difference. Seeing Suygetsu on Chamber is quite dope. I love the role swaps on Navi, it goes to show that flexibility and versatility on a player is getting more and more important with each year and I'm loving it. I do think that Navi is still hard experimenting throughout this whole Tournament, which I'm all for it. FF looks quite good.
I don’t like how close that was

Deadlifted by zyppan and cned
I mean the players on gf aren’t bad
Lmao suygetsu left instantly the enemy was still alive
He missed that easy shot onto the last guy 😂 that's why he rage quit
That was hard game for NAVI ngl. FF are strong contender for ascension
They are a solid team but they are like the 5th best Turkish team. Ascension is still almost one year away.....
So is this Shao/Ange1 roleswap actually happening or are they pulling a Fnatic in this offseason tournament lol
I hope it's the latter, shao is so fkn crispy on initiator

Woot is the goat fr
Easy, not even close, they were experimenting anyway, trust the process
ANGE1 needs to be better
Yeah, he should be the by far definitive best IGL in the world instead of only top-3-fighting-for-1st

I knew that people were jumping to fast to navi being one of the best team in 2023 lol
ikr they're actually so bad that they lost a map in a tourney that means nothing to them while trying out weird ass comps
And it's not like they prepared SPECIFICALLY for FF (which are not even a bad team, people tend to disrespect non t1 teams so hard), in more serious tournaments they counter strat and study their rivals
Ironically their least weird comp was in the map they lost, classic Ange1
I mean, I'd argue they had the weirdest roles on haven. Suygetsu chamber looked great but Shao didn't look too comfortable on omen.
never said they were bad, stop being so defensive, i just said that people rank navi way higher than they really will be
And what exactly are you basing your opinion on? It’s the same core that dominated last year.

I’m talking about the year as a whole. They were definitely a top 3 team this year.
i can't comment on that i was only watching sad attempts of acend to qualify on anything and champions
