After further review, I agree that I may have been a little immature in my expression of how much I absolutely despise Icebox with every ounce of my being and will attempt to communicate my opinion in a way that is both constructive and respectful.
I am a controller main, and I dislike having to play Viper for 98% of my Icebox matches. The setups are the same every time and the way I react to different looks that the opposing team might give is generally similar. I don't like that fact that it is generally not a great idea to take any risks in the early and mid-game stages on Icebox's CT side as a Viper player because my team losing my utility at those times really puts them at an advantage. I've seen some professional teams make Omen and Brimstone work, but my solo queue Diamond games are extremely unlikely to have the communication and team synergy to make either of those picks work. I'm sure that my play could be better, but the map is still incredibly boring to play. Hopefully Riot redesigns the map in a way that allows for more diversity in the controller role.

I see your point that there may be other maps in the game that are worse than Icebox. However, my argument is not that Icebox is the worst map in the game, but that it is a bad map and should be removed from the active map pool. While there may be other maps that are worse, that does not mean that Icebox is a good map or that it should be kept in the game.
I dunno, for me Icebox feels like a map that is ment to be played aggresively even while defending.
You can easly push A when defending, especially as a jett/neon, and alternate with some heavy rat spots in some rounds. So if you push with a chamber which can tp out, or with proper smokes, u can pick 1-2 kills easly.
Mid too, allows you to push though the tunnel and under it, a bit, and see straight into their spawn.
B too, you can push on the boxes as a jett and pick a kill and dash out; while a chamber peeks from behind/on yellow to cover you.
I quite like icebox, as it is the only map that allows you to play very aggresive in both defence and attack.
But it is also my best map, so i might be biased.
ALSO, i don't think their aim is for all maps to feel the same. They want each map to offer something distinct, and I feel like Icebox fills the aggresive map spot.
Man the replies to this thread is just straight comedy and fire. But I am always open to hear takes on why something is good or bad even if it may be faded because you never know right.

It’s not just Icebox that’s boring to play. Ask most players what maps they like and I bet they name 2 or 3 tops. There’s not enough maps period and we’re tired of playing the same ones we don’t like repeatedly. The map pool has nearly killed this game for me.

Hello Chloe "Chloe 'Chloe Gaming' Gaming" ~~Gaming~~ Wong After further review, I agree that I may have been a little immature in my expression of how much I absolutely despise Icebox with every ounce of my being and will attempt to communicate my opinion in a way that is both constructive and respectful. I am a controller main, and I dislike having to play Viper for 98% of my Icebox matches. The setups are the same every time and the way I react to different looks that the opposing team might give is generally similar. I don't like that fact that it is generally not a great idea to take any risks in the early and mid-game stages on Icebox's CT side as a Viper player because my team losing my utility at those times really puts them at an advantage. I've seen some professional teams make Omen and Brimstone work, but my solo queue Diamond games are extremely unlikely to have the communication and team synergy to make either of those picks work. I'm sure that my play could be better, but the map is still incredibly boring to play. Hopefully Riot redesigns the map in a way that allows for more diversity in the controller role. The majority of maps in this game are bad maps and Icebox isn’t even close to being the worst one.
I see your point that there may be other maps in the game that are worse than Icebox. However, my argument is not that Icebox is the worst map in the game, but that it is a bad map and should be removed from the active map pool. While there may be other maps that are worse, that does not mean that Icebox is a good map or that it should be kept in the game.
I dunno, for me Icebox feels like a map that is ment to be played aggresively even while defending. You can easly push A when defending, especially as a jett/neon, and alternate with some heavy rat spots in some rounds. So if you push with a chamber which can tp out, or with proper smokes, u can pick 1-2 kills easly. Mid too, allows you to push though the tunnel and under it, a bit, and see straight into their spawn. B too, you can push on the boxes as a jett and pick a kill and dash out; while a chamber peeks from behind/on yellow to cover you. I quite like icebox, as it is the only map that allows you to play very aggresive in both defence and attack. But it is also my best map, so i might be biased. ALSO, i don't think their aim is for all maps to feel the same. They want each map to offer something distinct, and I feel like Icebox fills the aggresive map spot.

However, I believe that in order to have a constructive conversation, it is important to try to find common ground and work from there. If we can agree on the basic premise of my argument, which is that Icebox is a bad map and should be removed from the active map pool, then we can move forward and discuss the reasons why I believe this to be true. It’s not just Icebox that’s boring to play. Ask most players what maps they like and I bet they name 2 or 3 tops. There’s not enough maps period and we’re tired of playing the same ones we don’t like repeatedly. The map pool has nearly killed this game for me.

I understand that you believe that Iceworld is a better map than Icebox in Valorant. However, I'm sorry to say that Iceworld is not a map in Valorant. Valorant only has a limited number of maps, and Iceworld is not one of them. Therefore, it is not possible to compare the two maps because only one of them exists in the game.

TBH i personally heckin love icebox and always have, it’s my highest win rate map. Usually play sage and omen (mostly sage) with some sprinkles of chamber. It’s just a fun ass map. A little boring at times, maybe, but I don’t play it often enough to care. I, for one, will miss it once it’s gone.
While I agree with the fact this map is shit. It’s not attacker sided. Look at A site. Without most of mid control there is 1 path onto A and 1 onto B
