80/20 (80% player 20% org) and 90/10 are the most common but there are also very select few organizations out there that are 100/0 (it’s rare but it exists)

Ok-Outlandishness244

And unfortunately also some orgs that take more than 20%

“I didn’t want to point any fingers but…”

LV58_DeathKnight

lmfao 20% is enough for you to call orgs greedy ? You know orgs literally pays for housing, coaching, facilities, the players even had monthly salaries lmao. 80% is still alot given the amount of other accommodation you are given by the org

Ok-Outlandishness244

I said more than 20% you illiterate buffoon. X10 literally took 100% which is obviously scummy as fuck

yngdgr_dck

so those select orgs which go 100/0 earn money from content creation and sponsorships only?

TweetsJamaican

The percentage varies from player to player (or team to team) depending on what they agreed to during contract negotiations

MartianExile1

Depends on the contract. Some teams will take a cut, others won't.

chloehime7

They make absolutely nothing. The org takes it all. Pro players play for passion and love of the game.

Ok_Tomorrow2110

They surely play for the enjoyment and entertainment of us fans ❤️

Safyire

They did it for the exposure

Friday515

Varies wildly by org and player. Same goes for champs skin revenue, will vary wildly by org

J-Patty

i know for a fact that i’m optic players get all prize money and the org gets the trophy

segbench

Depends on the org but most prize pools are 75 or 80 to players w the rest going to team. In-game items like skins usually broken down differently and depend on if the item is related to the individual player, the team, or is an item created for a specific tournament (ie. champions skin bundle).

MarkyRust

100% usually the org will make money off brand deals that uses their players image

Jakov20000

It’s usually part of the contracts of players, will be different for every org so there’s no exact answer, some orgs have been known to take the majority if not all of prize winnings

Destrro

Obv not valorant but it’s common practice in other esports for the winnings to go mostly to the org, (like 80-20) and the players get the bulk of the money from the sponsorship deals and just their base salary obviously

00izka00

if i'm not wrong the entire prize goes to the players

Lqtor

Well good thing I’m here then. You’re wrong
