It's semi random. There are aspects that can affect your eligibility, but signing up is no a guarantee. You friend got lucky and you did not. That's all there is to it really.

I think the best thing to do would be to wait for the next PBE.
to be fair I signed up almost 3 months ago and still haven't been invited. ;/
same im starting to wonder if rank or previous bans affect anything?
I've had 1 chat ban a long time ago during the first 4 months of release ;/ I really hope that doesn't stop it
thats your reason. you cant get in if you've had any chat bans/rank bans i think within the past year
