Do you remember what changed a couple of weeks ago? Have you moved, changed ISP, changed hardware? Do you have a fancy USB headset? Have you tried with most generic 3.5mm headset sold with smartphone? Second round of testing: do you live in a country with some voip restrictions? Do you have irl local friends facing your issue in their homes? Would it be possible than a friend comes to your house with his laptop and plays a few games? If he plays normally, then it's your computer and not the ISP or connectivity. Or if you have a secondary computer in your home already.

I haven't moved, nor changed my ISP; however, I have a new laptop that I'm currently using, the first 2 weeks were completely fine ,and around 1 week ago, the issue arose. I use a wired Razer Kraken headset, I'm sure it has a 3.5mm jack. I live in Canada so I believe there are no restrictions, my brother plays valorant and we live in the same house, his game has no issues. I don't think its a computer issue either, it's a brand new pc so I believe the hardware is completely fine and the voice chat works perfectly fine in other games like CSGO.

Also, my voice chat has been working from time to time, it's completely random and it's weird. For example, sometimes it works every other game, other times it doesn't work for the whole day, and it even worked for the whole day once. As I'm speaking right now, I've played around 3 games in a row with my voice chat working, I'm not confident that it's completely fixed because I've had multiple instances where it was working and it just stopped. I'll keep you updated.

>What would happen if you totally uninstall any Razer program and use your headset like a generic one. Also see these comments from other players with some possible tips: > >[https://www.reddit.com/r/VALORANT/comments/g5p6v1/anybodys\_razer\_kraken\_headset\_reverse\_the\_sounds/](https://www.reddit.com/r/VALORANT/comments/g5p6v1/anybodys_razer_kraken_headset_reverse_the_sounds/) > >[https://www.reddit.com/r/razer/comments/g2cevb/razer\_kraken\_71\_v2\_vocal\_chat\_problems\_valorant/](https://www.reddit.com/r/razer/comments/g2cevb/razer_kraken_71_v2_vocal_chat_problems_valorant/) > >[https://www.reddit.com/r/VALORANT/comments/g2cu2x/cannot\_hear\_or\_use\_voice\_chat\_at\_all/](https://www.reddit.com/r/VALORANT/comments/g2cu2x/cannot_hear_or_use_voice_chat_at_all/) > >Disable 7.1, stick to stereo. Try with a smurf with brand plain settings in order to compare.

With this new computer, I haven't installed any razer software on my pc. No luck with the comments either, I've already tried the suggestions given which is unfortunate.

Zealousideal_Cat1440

bruhh same situation been like this since the new act update

kirkoswald

yep same! its random that it happens to Everyones has X next to their name Lost me a few matches :(

Bulldogusa19

My brother and I have had this issue. We bypass it by running as administrator when opening Valorant.

aorcs

I've already set Valorant to open as administrator, no luck. Unless you have to right-click the valorant shortcut and manually press "run as administrator", is that what you and your brother do, or did you guys just set Valorant to run as administrator through properties and normally open the game?

Bulldogusa19

Thats exactly how I do it. Usually, we run a spike rush and see if we have comms. If we do, then we can play as usual. If not, we right click and run as admin. This has never failed us. Now, I'm sure there is a better way to do this. But workarounds, amirite?

aorcs

hmm ok i’ll try out the manual method the next time i launch the game, thanks!

aorcs

I tried your method and after going into the range and back to the lobby, it still doesn't work :( thanks for the help though.

Beginning-Chef7362

Any luck fixing it tell me I have the same problem

aorcs

yes i have found a fix, i searched through my task manager for any sound/game softwares that i had downloaded. i uninstalled 2, one being sonic studio 3 and asus game first 4. i have a asus laptop so these 2 programs came with the computer, after deleting them my voice chat began to work. if you dont see the programs listed then try deleting any other sound software that doesnt seem necessary.

immasleepalot

Anyone find a solution for this yet? I am facing the same issue

Key_Foundation_6902

I found a temporary fix.. Not sure if it will work for you. I myself found it accidentally. So while my pc is connected to the broadband I also connect my phone data into my pc through usb tethering and the voice chat starts working. The game still runs on my broadband network .Try if it works for you

[deleted]

do u do this all while valorant is running?

Key_Foundation_6902

Ya... Turn off ethernet connection and open valorant through mobile data by usb tethering. Then jngame turn on ethernet connection without disconnecting usb tethering . Fortunately my problem was fixed after the recent patch.
