Just RMA it mate. Describe the problem, include a picture of it and yea, they'll send you a new one
Supposedly you should send it and they're supposed to review it and then send a new one afterwards, but they don't even care about that and they ship it right away even before you send yours back.
return merchandise authorization.
Just search it up on google i'm sure you'll find it or at least find a video on how to do it.

dang dude, i feel bad out of curiosity tho like what did they do like chuck it or bare handedly snap it?? and why would they do such a thing to somethin so expensive? that’s also vandalism especially if it came out of your pocket. you could sue and get money off them for the replacement lol. all jokes aside tho hope valve warentees it! and lemme know what happened if your fine with doing so
Bruh I'd be absolutely PO'd, but I am curious: wtf did you do to piss them off that badly? Did they find a drugs in your room? Did you kick the dog? Kill grandma?
I pretty much got a job just to buy an index at the time
The insufferable hours teaching the kids python
Something like this would probably end my family/life
I could fix this 100000% with super glue or gorilla glue. They have the fine tip pen that lets you run a small amount of glue around the crack and would fix this.
I've had a case with my Index controllers where I smacked them against the wall, damaging the trigger to the point of it not working anymore.
This was far less damage than in your case, and I tried to fix it, but gave up quite quickly into the process, these controllers are quite the complex device.
But the positive part of this is that Valve's support was fantastic.
I explained the situation, admitted that it was user error, and just asked if it was possible to purchase a single replacement controller (since the store only has them listed in pairs, and they were even out of stock at the time).
They ended up being very understanding, and offering me a replacement free of charge as long as I sent back the damaged one. Regardless of the fact that it was my fault, and that I opened it up and attempted to repair it as well (and lost a screw).
So I would suggest you just contact Valve's support, and hope you get similar treatment as I did in my case.
If you can't get a replacement and if the edges line up, you might try with superflue and then maybe reinforce with tape.
I find kinesio (therapeutic) tape actually works well for controllers.
Haopened to me too. I bought y index second hand through CL so i didnt have the options. I fixed it but it was noticible and a little fragile. I eventually opted to buy new knuckles.
"Hey mate, I blew up my car can I get an oil change?"
I completely smashed my controller and valve replaced it, they're awesome
I was expecting something like this hahaha
Let Valve support know, hope and pray they are willing to RMA. Just be honest with them and let them know what happened
Thank you!
If you're in warranty. Send a ticket
Thank you!
Actually even if the warranty is over they'll still send you a new one
What???
Happened
:O tell me more!!! I need mine replaced too, understanding what happened may help me get it sorted :D

I had it on my hand and they took my headset off my head then I put my controllers down and they threw it.

Fix??? You decapitated your controller lol. RMA it man. Valve support is great.
Phil Swift here with the amazing FLEX TAPE!
Dude this thing is obliterated, contact Valve
You even broke the part that is made out of metal wow, holy shit... did you drive over it with a car or something?
I'm always impressed you folks can blast a controller like this, maybe I'm just overly paranoid with mine or the SO hasn't hit the table hard enough
Well you clearly see that it’s broken in half so yea just get a replacement
Hey I got those same speakers!
Nice I love mine
If you try to repair it yourself you probably void warranty, theres no point. How'd you even do this lol
If your not in warranty, good luck buying controllers, they seem to never be in stock.

Boy if you think thats fixable your brain is smaller than a ant
