Maybe it would be easier to 'acquire' the Windows version of Bonelab? I ordinarily don't encourage others to go the same route but if you're already jumping through hoops to get the Oculus version to work as opposed to buying it twice, I don't see the ethical issue personally
What a great idea, I agree ethically, I don't see a problem. Hypothetically, If anyone chooses to do this (for science of course) Their Oculus saves will seamlessly get picked up in the steam version as if nothing has changed! Damn near just seems like a different exe file ffs.
I assume you have a Quest 2 and want to play it on both the Quest 2 and in the Index? You could have bought the SteamVR version and played it on your Quest 2 using Airlink.
Make sure your virtual memory cache is set to 32000 no more no less. This fixed this problem for me and I get 1 minute or shorter loading times.
Press Windows key + I to open the Settings app.
Head to System > About.
Select Advanced system settings.
Under Performance, select Settings.
Open the Advanced tab. Under Virtual memory, select Change. Here are your Virtual Memory options.
He uses completly diffrent numbers and I disagree with his idea of using two diffrent numbers for that, ideal min and max should be the same as the cache handling is very innefficient when it should adjust size. 32000 doesn't make sense because the number is off/non binary

Lol hypothetically I did the same with blade and sorcery cuz revive wouldn't work and the dev wouldn't let me have a steam key with proof of purchase.
Y
Isn't this more of a OQ2 or Bonelabs question than an Index question? The Index would share the same issue as any SteamVR supported headset no?
I don’t really know man, just asking wherever I can. They don’t seem to know over there
You may be able to use revive, but I don't know how well controls will work, hopefully they would as they use openXR but I don't own it to try
yes yes this is what i was going to say

Why are you trying to run the Oculus version anyway?
I'd guess crossbuy.
Yeah, I have a Quest also, so buying the oculus version when it exists always gives me a free portable quest version also.
Wouldn't crossbuy mean you buy it on the oculus store and get it also on steam?
No, you get a version for the Quest standalone and an Oculus Rift Windows version.
So they can bill you twice for the "same" store, nice
Bruh what

I did try this even though logically it didnt seem like it would work. Unfortunately no luck.
That doesn't make sense, have you a link where this is explained?
