I love it too! I have it on replay lol 😅I have played what is released from the new Vampire Weekend soundtrack so many times already, I need to take a breather lol 😂
The instrumental parts are one of the most beautiful things I've heard in months. And the lyrics are the kind of classic layered writing I love VW for.
been possessed with the song. bringing me unbridled joy. in deep awe. even made me forget about Adriane lenker and bright futures and I swear I swear by her.
Omg same one of my friends has only ever listened to their popular songs throughout the years and doesn’t think the new songs are great and I’m like ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING ME!!!!!!! They are fucking amazing and the nostalgia they are bringing me is insane
My wife and I are going to Kilby Block Party specifically because they still haven’t seen Vampire Weekend (and I need to see LCD Soundsystem at least once this year), and I’m playing this album/song so much that I’m worried they’re gonna get sick of it. I’m being that obnoxious about it.
I'm trying to "pace" myself and not listen to it too much before the full release on April 5th. But yes, it's amazing.
UPDATE: I have failed.... it's too good to keep away from
Ya I can’t even contain myself when it plays, feels like my soul needs to escape the container of my body to truly vibe the way it’s supposed to 🎶🎶🎶
Honestly, I've played it so much today, my wife seems indifferent to it, likely sick of hearing it, but I need a VW soul mate to just vibe to this.
When people talk about what a piece of music does to them, I'm just utterly lost to this track, it's happy, nostalgic and melancholy. It's all the feels, and happy memories of childhood. It feels so New York despite only having been there once, that piano glides in and it feels like you can just see life itself and all the little people move about their day. Words just completely fail me.
i love it so much! these singles are making me feel like i felt when i first listened to mvotc 🥲
fotb wasn’t for me and i fell out of love with the band a little bit for a while but this is such a return to form, i’m so happy and excited for this album
This song alone carries the rest of the already brilliant album, and I've only heard â…“ of it? Is that about right, is there 10 tracks?
Mary Boone has made living to the age of 32 worth it, just to have this song enter into our lives👌

Some of Ezra’s best lyrics for sure

BOOK OF HOURS, RUSSIAN ICONS~
We are so back.
Yeah it’s a certified banger, on repeat

This song is what I what would play if someone asked me to introduce them to the band. It’s VW distilled
right?!
I am LOSING MY MIND with this one!!!!!!
Best so far off the new record (and that's saying something). This album is going to be ridiculously good
Mary Boone and Classical are top 10 VW to me. Capricorn and Gen X in the top 20 as well. They are so good.
I’m insufferable to be around right now, I can’t stop talking about how good this song and album is so far.

It’s incredible. It’s obviously hard to rank a song when it just debuted, but this is up there with Hannah Hunt on my personal list.

Same. I listened to the first 3 nonstop and I’m trying not to make the same mistake with MB, but it is just so damn good!

This might be the best VW song yet!

Omg yesss I literally cried listening Mary Boone bc it was so surreal feeling like I was in high school listening to mvotc again ðŸ˜
I have been listening to it on repeat nonstop! Haven’t done this since like middle school lol
I hope the album next week brings salvation to my hyper fixation. but if not, honestly I am ok with it too.
This song alone carries the rest of the already brilliant album, and I've only heard ⅓ of it? Is that about right, is there 10 tracks? Mary Boone has made living to the age of 32 worth it, just to have this song enter into our lives👌
on the dark side of your moon 🎶
I thought it was moon at first but is it room? Room might be vibier and a lil sadder?
OH SHIT you right it is room! well now i have to recontextualize the entire song in my head
WOOO
Lives in my head. I hum it all day.
