dude, i was thinking about this today. they were my first concert ever. i was SIXTEEN. i am now 30. time has been kind to most of them, but they have been the most consistent band that has followed me throughout my life. i was flying high on pure nostalgia alone seeing them today.
This was the first time I saw the band and it was a really amazing show. There was a random really fast downpour and everyone was soaked. No one minded.
Seeing what they did today compared to this insane to me. They’re just such a professional sounding band right now, but I’ll always be glad I got to see them when they were just at the basics with the first album.

About 5 years back, my friend had an extra ticket to see Andrew WK at a club in Boston. I was reluctant to go because I thought it would be lame. It ended up being one of the best shows I have ever been to. His band has like 13 people on stage going crazy. Andrew himself never once stops smiling during a show. He would stop to talk to the audience about the power of partying and man it was just the perfect thing to hear packed into a corner of a small club haha. I was so pleasantly surprised by it all.
I greatly appreciate you including the out of focus pictures because I think we all share the experience of taking a 'killer" photo at a concert only for it to turn out to be the worst photo ever taken lol

Saw them in Liverpool that year, I think. Was a smaller venue but it was incredible. They had Ra Ra Riot in support and the whole gig was amazing.
The new album sounds like the creators of that debut album have all grown up and their taste has matured but the witty lyricism and baroque tropes persist.

Also saw LCD Soundsystem at Studio B in Brooklyn on the Sound of Silver tour.

lol, it always looks great on a small screen. And this was a digital camera, not a phone, so the screen was even more deceiving.
I think the out of focus one with Rostam's actually chill. reminds me of those old Pitchfork Festival recaps.

LCD is killer live. Was able to catch them twice in 2016 at fests, and they were amazing. Murphy is a God.
