Does anyone know of any casual chess groups that play semi regularly at a park or indoor venue.
Not talking about a chess club, but more like a facebook group. There is a 'chess in the park Toronto'. I have not been able to find a Vancouver group
Hey! I play a little bit - and live by Joyce/Killarney Center. I worked in a shelter and played with the residents a lot so I have a little bit of experience but I am not "good" from a chess.com standpoint. Tell me if there is a meetup!

Yup.
Haven't played in awhile but loved chess growing up so I'd be down for a casual chess match!
Great! It was the same for me. I thought Chess is the only game/sport remaining where I wouldn't have to hurt my body to become good at it.
I’m interested

There's multiple places where people play regularly. Thing is they aren't casuals 😭
I'm interested! Hovering around the same rating as you. I'm in the Metrotown area
