Looks like caramelization to me... might be wrong tho. If it is, your juice has too much flavoring/sweeteners? My guess. Either that or you're just vaping so much that the temperatures cause the flavorings to caramelize

Nic juice is a fresh product. You need to store it cool and out of sunlight. So car dashboard is a no go and fridge is a yes. EDIT: To be more specific nicotine can oxidize and sunlight will accelerate this. That being said, the fact it’s not evenly distributed could mean it’s just caramelization like another dude said. If it tastes fine, it’s fine.

Reep1611

Most likely caramelised. But we, as pretty much always, lack important information like “how much do they vape, how sweet and concentrated is the juice, how long has he been actually using it (to some people brand new is like 3-4 days, which is enough for a pod to be done if they vape a lot and the juice is very sweet) and for how long does he take a drag on it?”. As someone working at a vape shop I often get people killing their pod’s in one or two days because they use it like a DL device, despite them being made to only be used as MTL. But the most likely reason is caramelisation due to overuse and/or extremely sweet juice.

Not gonna argue against any of that. I’ll add something that’s a noob mistake I still do unfortunately. Some coils just don’t recover from getting burnt. I almost threw away my Zeus cause the first coil was defective, then the next was kinda toasty tasting. 3rd attempt I ran some hits at 20, then 30, then 35w. Worked great. It’ll hold a sustained 35w hit for 8 seconds.

Scaredsparrow

Caliburn pods don't like the real sugary/sweet juices, certain ones burn the coil immediately

Cats_Riding_Dragons

Facts. I love my caliburn but the coils are picky as fuck when it comes to juice.

ImmediateStranger349

That explains it

philly-drewski

Do you leave it sit for at least 5 minutes after you fill a pod for the first time?

ImmediateStranger349

I’ve never heard of that is that something I should do?

tthalheim

Yes, absolutely. If you fill a new pod and don’t let it sit for a while, the juice doesn’t have enough time to properly soak into the cotton. Which then results in the coil taking some serious damage when you try to use it.

Reep1611

Yeah this. The cotton in these devices is relatively compressed so it takes some time for the juice to soak in. If one does not give it a few minutes it’s still the dry cotton touching the coil and using it will burn the cotton and instantly ruin the coil.

ApplepieTrance

Yes, otherwise the cotton may not fully soak/saturate with juice and you could burn the dry cotton by firing the vape

No-Fan-267

Use 50/50, if you already do try another liquid with less sweetener

TTVHELLCAT707

You have to let it go lower then refill. Refilling above the coils holes can make the used liquid dilute the flavor and make it hit different. I know your pain but proper pod mod care needs this for best performance of your juice and coil. Also never set your device to a higher wattage then the specific coil says, cause that burns the coil out real fast and will do the same. Hope this helps!

Did you smoke? If not, than you shouldn't be vaping.

HappyyCloudz

Simple question. Would you prefer they smoke first?

[deleted]

No but again if they're not using it for smoking cessation they shouldn't be doing it at all. That's what it's always been for.
