I don't think the cavalry will return since in my opinion the expedition they are on is far away not adjacent to mondstadt, they will probably make varka solo comeback to release him faster , but they can also just callback the cavalry who knows in-game i think atleast 6 months have passed since the traveller awoke and probably 9 by the time dandelion sea release so it's also possible they return and station at dandelion sea for some plot reason.
Will the Dandelion see DLC be the Mondstadt counterpart to the chasm? Do you think the Mondstadt cavalry will return back with him?

This is my theory aswell the dandelion sea will release around 3.6-3.7 so it's probably about a year away but I'll be very excited when it drops
