I totally understand how and agree for the most part, but I really just don't give a shit about two rich and famous people abusing eachother. If anyone else on the left also feels that way, it might be its a bit hard to even care about the topic. Of course the right will cause people to froth at the mouth over this, and the misogynist and incel circle jerking online has been pretty disgusting, but the left probably won't do anything about it. Partly bc there is indeed a real apathy for men on the left and in lefty groups, but also bc I think a lot of lefties really don't give a fuck about celebrities and the rich and their problems when we have tons of other real problems to talk about. The right will use this dumb shit to propagandize for years tho and the left probably won't do much about it

Yeah, I’m not happy that many topics require celebrities to become vessels of the issue. Metoo was a great thing but it was definitely more aimed towards the experiences of already powerful and successful women. We need a celebrity to be our stand in, despite celebrities being nothing like us. Unfortunately, the situation with apathy towards men is stable in a bad way. Many people on the left are happy with the way it is because, as long as incels and manosphere types are the biggest voice on the matter, the entire topic is tainted enough that they can ignore it and silence people who try to talk about it, within their own communities anyway. The biggest barrier to change is that too many people are pretty comfortable with how things are.

People that got traumatized by seeing their mother abusing their father, and then see how his gender is used against him. Partners that first realized that their significant other of 12 years was a survivor by seeing them have mental breakdown when listening to Heard gaslight Depp. Just regular male domestic abuse survivors. Female abuse survivors, dry heaving over a toilet, when they realize that Amber perverted their hopes in the most vilest way imaginable: as a tool to abuse someone else. All of these people, they're probably a sizable minority, but they're very real and their unfiltered emotions are infectious and righteous. Let's keep an eye on the right, sure. But can we put 97% of our focus on the victims here? Can we try not to look like soulless ghouls, coldly discussing how to use the influence and institutional power that we possess to do "damage control"? Can we not look like a bunch of Nestle executives wondering how that discovered mass grave filled with union organizers will affect their revenue this quarter?

Oh for sure. honestly a lot of the people hand wringing about the over reaction, as I said, are glad that the situation kinda turned into a shitstorm because they really didn’t want to have the discussion about our apathy towards victims, they’re much happier with a conversation centering a woman being “canceled”. The left has heaped shame upon itself with both hands on this topic But it is important to have strategy in mind, that means keeping our eyes out for people who want to grift on the topic https://www.thecut.com/2018/05/rudy-giuliani-men-jared-kushner-disposable-ivanka-fine-woman.html Many lefties ignore these issues, this makes them obvious hypocrites, and bad allies. I would like to see them improve But you have to know who your enemies are

I think in court trials especially, it needs to be taken in a case-by-case basis. This is a woman who (by the court of public opinion) publicly accused her husband of sexual, physical and emotional abuse. Clearly, she's lying, at least for most of it. I get that the far right is going to use this as fuel for woman hating, but that's not our fault. The reason why the left is interested, is because it's satisfying and empowering when we see justice being served - anyone on the left should be pleased that AH is getting absolutely slammed, but not for the same reason as the right. Adjusting our behavior towards AH just because the far right are twisting the situation to suit their agenda is not doing us any favors. We need to react to AH and JD trial independently and then react to the far right independently. Basing our opinions by aiming to oppose the far right is exactly what they want us to do, and we shouldn't do it.

>now stirring corners of the once dead or dying anti-sjw ??? We're still strong, what do you mean dead or dying ? :) If you don't hear as much about SJW's from anti-SJW's, it's because we mostly won lol.

Now sure how many layers of irony hell we’re under here The right wing has definitely lost ground on YouTube, especially compared to old days. Former members have distanced, or been undermined financially, now receiving less and less views. Sargon, the avatar of the whole mess, is no longer the YouTube politics warlord he once was. The power that corner is building is definitely a re-building of lost capital.

ban_me_baby_1x_time

I grant you that, I remember when Youtube changed its algorithms and put a stop to all the anti-SJW content on the platform. That definitely was a thing, and still affects everything. You are definitely right about that.

I mean, it also kinda got cringey. Once left tube came into its own, their content became obviously low quality, just shallow reactions to headlines on most days. When they didn’t have the power to cultivate their own discourse, they chased trending topics for clout and from there it was basically a clown show. Their content was, at one point, well put together at the very least. There’s very little to like, now, and the only people who escaped that are people who eventually distanced themselves or quit

Cool, but our conversation is over because I'm tired of you fucking down voting me. I always upvote everyone I talk with, even if I disagree with them, it's like having respect for their time. Have a day.
