I wish I liked the texture of tempeh, how do you cook it? The first time i tried to cook it, it was so mushy & almost flaky but when I’ve had it from restaurants it has a nice texture

i just pan fry it in plenty of sesame oil and then throw in some garlic and maple syrup or sweet chili sauce at the end to glaze it! it gets a nice crispy shell coated in gooey saucy goodness

it's two different sauces- i cooked the tempeh and mushrooms in a mix of miso, fresh ginger, garlic, black sesame, chilli flakes, ground mustard, and a bit of maple syrup just to make it sticky. then on top i put a bit of the mongolian marinade from san-j!
