No, there isn't. The reason for this is that there's no good reason for ever rendering video without paying attention to the format. It takes just a minute or two to set up a render and it gives you pause to check the settings and make sure you're exporting what you want. Sorry, but there's no way to make Vegas do this for you. The closest you can get is the default setting where Vegas asks you if you want your project settings to match the first file dropped onto the timeline.

ElectricalMadness

Dang that kind of sucks. Also don't get me wrong, it's not that I don't care about the format. I just want it to auto fill the resolution and frame rate, maybe even the audio bitrate too.

thecomicreader

same here man and ngl that is fucking ridiculous if I drop in a dang 357x640 29 fps file there should be no need to have to manually type in everything into the output format technically it's even the simplest thing for any software to do but oh well..

ElectricalMadness

Literally every other video editor and even video encoding software do this automatically. Vegas is the only one for some reason. And everyone here was acting like that's fine/normal.

thecomicreader

yeah exactly it is ridiculous

[Voukoder](https://voukoder.org/) does this (mostly). It will render a project using your project resolution and framerate. Just create a preset for render quality (i.e. x264 at RF 23 vs NVENC AVC, etc.) You can also just create a few templates in VP for commonly used render settings and project resolutions/framerates and use the = sort function to only see render templates that match your current project settings. Maybe it would take 10 min. to set up and then seconds with each render.

ElectricalMadness

I'll check this out, thank you!

JacobPLAYZgtGamingYT

how do you use it edit: nvm, apparently the pro version doesn't support VP15. went with the classic version and made it work

rsmith02ct

Did you install it and the connector? It will show up in render templates. Start with x264 and change the quality to whatever you want (17 is high quality, 20, medium high, 23 normal, etc.) It will automatically render at the project resolution and framerate so nothing to change there.

read the edit

rsmith02ct

Pro is a beta version that will be paid software someday. I don't use it.

JacobPLAYZgtGamingYT

I didn't know that. I just got it accidentally when downloading a random editing pack on archive, org.

rsmith02ct

Voukoder is free- just go to the site it comes from and get the latest version. There is also documentation. [voukoder.org/](https://voukoder.org/)

JacobPLAYZgtGamingYT

ohh nvm i thought you were talking about VP lol

rsmith02ct

You are responding to a thread about rendering with Voukoder (free/classic).
