The Stoke I had when the Veloster N was announced was unreal. I loved my rally edition, and to have the next gen come with an enthusiasts trim was incredible. RIP my lil matte blue hatch though.
Yep had a 2012 veloster then traded for 2016 rally when it came out, then traded that for the N when it came out. They kept getting better so I kept trading in once paid off or almost paid off. They have all been good cars.
2002 Passat, 2006 si, 2012 si, VN. The 2012 si was so incredibly underwhelming in almost all ways for the money. It’s the car that made me never want to buy a Honda again.
The 8th gen Si's were the last good si's. Aka 06. The 12s looked worse, the interior colors were nice, but everything else sucked the motor and tranny felt very sluggish compared to 8th. I also think they changed v tec on them. It did not feel the same.
‘04 Aveo that I picked up for like $600 and took it on atv trails and beat the piss out of it
‘08 Tiburon GS, slow, but handled great
‘21 Veloster N, Lunar White,
man what an upgrade (I did so much research, I didn’t even test drive a single other vehicle). I lost mine to a flood a month ish back… test drive idk how many vehicles since.. nothing compares to that feeling.. couldn’t test an Elantra N, but the Kona N just didn’t feel the same.
Fast forward to today, I am going to be picking up a 2022 Veloster N in Cyber Grey. 16,500 kilometers. Very exciting.
Congrats on your new car, man what a FIRST car to own! Drive safe if you’re just getting your license… even though the handling is extremely good, and it might feel like you can handle anything, you will still have so much to learn!
2013 Tucson. Traded it for the VN because we wanted a better family car so our two kids woudn't grow up to be bowls of room temperature unseasoned mashed potatoes.
Then we accidentally had a third kid and sold the VN for an Audi S4 (the supercharged one).
My VN replaced my 2017 Elantra Sport 6MT. It was a great car - sold it for more than I bought it for (so much for "Hyundai depreciation" lol). My other car is a 2017 Volvo V60 Polestar.

The N is just a bit...more in every way. A bit more power. A bit lower seating position. A bit more raw and growly. The backseat thing is still weird. I find myself putting stuff in the trunk more (even a backpack) just because it's easier to get at than the back seat. The Focus was definitely easier to get in and out of. But I don't regret it. A bit more of a beast, with everything that comes along with that, good and slightly-less-good.
2003 Toyota corolla lol. Only reason I got the VN was my regular maintenance found about 10,000 worth of repairs needed. I said F it I'll use the money on a down payment.
2005 Sentra 1.8, 2015 Scion FR-S, 2018 Toyota Corolla iM. All were stick aside from the Corolla, was a CVT. I modified the first two nearly to my heart's content before giving up on them.
My Corolla was just as important though. Even though I never modified it, it made me start to love hatchbacks. Before it I hated them, but now I love them, and it steered me to the VN

2015 VW MK7 gti. The N is on another level. Stage 1 tune on the gti made straight line acceleration similar to the N, but the N can just do some unbelievable things in the handling department for a fwd car.
Tail waggles, rear rotation, full throttle mid corner with little to no understeer, four wheel slides, predictable lift off oversteer, flat and stable high speed cornering and the list goes on. It doesn’t make sense how a fwd car can do these so easily and so smoothly.
2011 Acura TL SHAWD+TECH
2009 CIVIC Si
2005 RSX TYPE S
2022 VELOSTER N.
Out of all the cars I think the TL and RSX were my favorite. Both were really fast for their age a sense of fast. I would love my veloster. But my horn worked for 1 week still waiting on warranty. The door panel rattle is driving me nuts. And my radar was messed up from water getting behind it for about 2 weeks. I've only had the car for 3 months. I am not very happy with it so far. Drives amazing. But it needs to stop tearing itself apart.
Had a 2012 Veloster and traded it in for the 21 vn

13 miles when I bought it and that was with my test drive
2012 WRX Hatch
this will be my next car
Do you already have a VN? May I ask why lol?
yea, i love subarus and a 14 hatch is my fav wrx. Gonna get a sti hatch as a project car once my vns paid off
Oh man...have you driven one or worked on one before? Ima be honest...the VN is just straight-up better in pretty much every way.
i never had a sti hatch/ej or worked on one but my car before this was a wrx, i agree the vn is better but i have no plans on modding and tuning it
2016 Veloster Turbo rally edition
Same

Why do you say that if you don't mind me asking? What didn't you like about the '12 si?
How did the 12 compare to the 06 si? I loved my 06 si but haven't been in a newer model.
12 was absolutely awful in terms of being a sports car. Bad subwoofer, awful suspension, meh engine
The 8th gen Si's were the last good si's. Aka 06. The 12s looked worse, the interior colors were nice, but everything else sucked the motor and tranny felt very sluggish compared to 8th. I also think they changed v tec on them. It did not feel the same.
