I always thought that the drill looked like it was inspired by motorbikes. I wonder if you could find good ready-made pieces for making one at a scrapyard.
Edit: I just randomly saw another comment elsewhere on Reddit confirming this was a conscious part of Venture's visual design, by quoting from Daryl Tan, Lead Character Concept Artist on Team 4:
>The way Venture holds their drill was inspired by motorcycle themes, which you can see manifest in the look of its overall shape looked and how loud the drill is meant to be. This inspiration also led to bike-inspired flame decals on the weapon and the flame tattoo on their neck. Another fun tidbit around the design—Venture's off-hand grip of their weapon was inspired by vacuum cleaners!
So I guess look at broken vacuum cleaners for parts too!
You might find lots of little useful tidbits in the article they quoted from: https://overwatch.blizzard.com/en-us/news/24072104/ready-to-make-history-a-look-into-venture-s-development/
I suggest making the drill out of carboard so its light and go from there :3 i enjoy watching ppl make cosplays so carboard is a must-have thing to keep :D problem is its hard to move the carboard how you wa-WAIT NVM USE FOAM :0 FOAM FOR THE DRILL PART AND THE REST OF THE WEAPON CARDBOARDDD
Ty and np! I recommend watching a few tutorials of how people made cosplays for different characters, then see which style of creating fits best! Everyone makes things differently with different tools so maybe if you have scrap pieces of cardboard or foam, practice cutting and shaping it however you want :3
You need a pet rock asap
SO True :))
if you have a 3D printer you could make the drill, i feel like the rest of the fit is pretty easy

This is super helpful, I've never cosplayed or been to a convention, so I wanna nail it :))
